That's a job I'd refuse to take. Did it go further than the citation for him?
He wanted to work on state of the art aircraft engines and the recruiters promised him he'd work on things that "went in the planes." He ended up packing parachutes during the cold war. It was signed I believe by MacNamara. When he came home he was very bitter and disgusted with the Airforce and U.S. leadership. Said that Cuban Missile crisis was not only thing that almost incinerated us. He realized that "they are all in it together and they are all fulla shit" meaning the policians, generals, businesmen and even the Russians. So it is this piece of paper. I guess they keep track of everything. He joked that they had a hard time deciding to reward him or shoot him because a captured Powers was more of a liability than a corspsed one. A few years later I gave him Catch-22 to read. He said it was too bad Milobinder didn't pack Power's chute. Why's that I asked. Because he answered, it would have been better for business.

Nah, after the destruction of their heavy water stockpiles they were never going to get a nuke. That and Hitler's short term ism.

Yah the author's controversial position is highly debatable. But what I was getting at was that the Peace Now Movement on the surface appeared to be a psyop, complete with kwh - in 1943.

I know that feeling. I've often considered getting tivo and learning some basic video editing and producing my own psyops analysis of msm, meme by meme, phrase by phrase, image by image. I think it would pretty rapidly expand into a documentary.
What all of us here more or less agree on is that msm is used wittingly to promote cultural memes which are advantagous to the ownership class. That's pretty uncontroversial. But what Hugh contends and what I was referring to and what I believe you are saying you notice as well is some sort of real time crisis response pr department which orchestrates programming which either reinforces helpful to power memes or obscures damaging to power stories and information.

It is for me as well, because cable tv is just packed with it. I almost wonder sometimes when watching cable, always with the, ahem, noble intent of analyzing it's content for psyops and anthropological insights into the modern human predicament, if I don't eventually fall into trance states and lose my objectivity to a large enough degree that alot of it passes me by. (It might go without saying, but I don't want to be misunderstood so reader please note: Who I am always greatly supersedes the effect of any of this on me.) Or in other words I just sort of stare blankly at the screen at times and only come to in order to keep from drooling on myself.
I forget which show it was now, but it had obviously been produced before Fukushima... anyway it was about nuclear threats all of a sudden and it seemed really out of place. I only watch a handful of shows so I'll try and remember what it was.
So are you suggesting that there are shows and documentaries already in the can that are brought out when events warrant it? Like was the show aired after the tsunami?

Yes, that's precisely how news cycle management and entertainment psyops script management works.
There are 'news' stories and fiction productions in progress and in the can ready to go when needed, just in case an info-liability that can be anticipated actually materializes.
That's why Hollywood projects come and go for years in phases as priorities are juggled and re-aligned to match events-on-the-ground.
Psyops is both pre-emptive and pro-active.

It would have to really, wouldn't it? I wish I could find out more about the A&E networks.

In this thoroughly researched and detailed history of the television industry, conservative columnist and author Ben Shapiro argues that left-leaning entertainment kingpins in Los Angeles and New York have leveraged—and continue to use—their positions and power to push liberal messages and promote the Democratic Party while actively discriminating against their opponents on the right. According to Shapiro, television isn't just about entertainment—it's an attempt to convince Americans that the social, economic, and foreign policy shaped by leftism is morally righteous
Sesame Street is ‘a propaganda tool for the Left’ says top author
To most people Sesame Street is a fun educational show for kids featuring lovable characters such as Ernie, Big Bird and Cookie Monster – but for author Ben Shapiro the show is a vehicle for spreading left-wing propaganda.
The U.S. Conservative writer and columnist, in his new book Primetime Propaganda, also levels criticism at other popular shows such as Friends, MASH and Happy Days for having leftist agendas.
Horror ... the World Trade Centre collapsed on 9/11 after terrorists flew planes into the towers
A NEW theory has emerged claiming to give the REAL reason the Twin Towers fell after the 9/11 attacks.
Just before the two World Trade Centre skyscrapers crashed to the ground on September 11, 2001, a series of huge blasts were heard in the buildings.
And a leading scientist says they could have been the sound of molten aircraft metal reacting with water from sprinkler systems in the towers.
The sudden collapse of the towers after they were hit by two passenger jets has previously been blamed on over-heated steel beams.
But Norwegian expert Dr Christian Simensen believes the violent chemical reaction between molten aluminium from the aircraft and water is what actually ripped out the buildings' internal structure.
Explosions
Dr Simensen, from the SINTEF institute based in Trondheim, Norway, said: "Both scientific experiments and 250 reported disasters suffered by the aluminium industry have shown that the combination of molten aluminium and water releases enormous explosions."
Almost 3,000 people died after al-Qaeda terrorists flew two fuel-laden planes into the World Trade Centre in Manhattan.
The impacts triggered massive explosions and fires, but the subsequent collapse of each tower came as a shock to those watching the disaster unfold.
Blasts heard just before the buildings fell have led to conspiracy theories that explosives were set off inside the towers.
But Dr Simensen believes after crashing into the skyscrapers the two jets would have been trapped within an insulating layer of debris.
As a result, the aircraft hulls rather than the buildings absorbed most of the heat from the burning aviation fuel.
It is then claimed molten aluminium from the jets, flowing down through staircases and gaps in the floors, reacted with water from emergency sprinklers on the lower levels.
Quantcast
Dr Simensen, who presented his theory at an international materials conference in San Diego, California, said: "I regard it as extremely likely that it was these explosions that made the skyscrapers collapse by tearing out part of the internal structure, and that this caused the uppermost floors of the buildings to fall and crush the lower parts.
"In other words, I believe that these were the explosions that were heard by people in the vicinity and that have since given life to the conspiracy theories that explosives had been placed in the skyscrapers."
There's also a nice synergy going on here. From the Norway attacks pushing Murdoch's Hackgate story to the backburner. To a Norwegian Think Tank (SINTEF) doing much the same, while also shilling for the official 9/11 theory, in one of Murdoch's tabloids.
CBS News has learned a congressional subpoena directed to Attorney General Eric Holder could go out as early as Tuesday, ordering him to turn over documents to lawmakers about when he was aware of a controversial gun smuggling operation known as Fast and Furious.
CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson reports the the subpoena will come from the House Oversight Committee, led by Republican Darrell Issa. It will ask for communications among senior Justice Department officials related to Fast and Furious and "gunwalking."
The subpoena will list those officials, says Attkisson - more than a dozen of them - by name.
In Fast and Furious, the ATF allegedly allowed thousands of assault rifles and other weapons into the hands of suspected traffickers for Mexican drug cartels. The idea was to see where the weapons ended up, and take down a cartel. But the guns have been found at many crime scenes in Mexico and the U.S., including the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry last December...
Fake, fake, fake – I’m talking about the latest anti-Iranian propaganda coming out of Washington, which claims the Iranian Revolutionary Guards were involved in a “plot” to take out the Saudi ambassador to the US and blow up both the Saudi and Israeli embassies. The narrative reads like a formulaic melodrama: two Iranians, one a naturalized US citizen, purportedly approached someone they thought was a member of a Mexican drug cartel – according to the indictment...
A little meme-reversal to change the subject never hurt nobody.

This is even a twofer MinM producing the thought; Infiltrating (via inciting lawlessness, gunrunning, competition pruning or whatever) Mexican drug cartels or 'criminal' groups in general is good because it helps us catch terrorists, and that any collateral damage caused is a small cost compared to the benefits of saving civilization from the criminals and ‘terrorists’.
(Damn, we got all our problems licked, if we can just make more things be ‘illegal’; said the social control enthusiast to his dutiful secretary.)
Yikes, these guys are good.

I'm prone to speculate that the gun -running and the fake Iran "terror" plot are related in a more basic way -- I.e. that the guns were dumped to deliberately escalate the violence there so as to give the PTB the excuse they want to militarize the border and perhaps even invade the northern states of Mexico.
Having the cartels now ostensibly involved in "terrorism" just furthers that bullshit, one more group of "enemies" we need to go after.
Keep in mind the globalists want to close down the port of los angeles, which is still controlled by one of the last remaining powerful unions left in this country, and replace it with one in northern Mexico, which could be run by virtual slaves for all anyone cares.
