Maybe I'm just a little too old, but when I was a kid we truly had the Golden Age of American cinema, all those incredible films in the late 60s and early 70s. Looking back it's amazing how many of them there were, all crammed into such a short period of time.

My favorite era, thank goodness those moviemakers were so prolific at that time, I am still mining that era for great films as yet unseen.

How was Crimson Peak? I've seen a couple of trailers and I love Del Toro. It is not 'of a certain quality' but I recently found an old short of his online and I think RI'ers would at least find it amusing:

I'm not sure other than that's what I saw on the news last night as a "heads up". They distinctly said it would be the official trailer at halftime. I have no idea though.

I would describe Crimson Peak as "HOW SHIT HOW DID THIS GET MADE?"

So artistically lush it transcends the genre, and then some.

Juggalo, considering that a juggalo mammal has to sleep to survive, and as much awesome information as you are able to take in and understand, how do you do it? "Not forgetting things" is pretty much the key to my operation. Also, no social life outside of working two jobs. That helps.

Unfortunately, as I've begun to push past 30, "not forgetting things" is beginning to involve actual effort, so expect this whole operation to burst into flames and implode completely by 2017 or so, unless I find some sort of supplement or LSD gets legalized.

But i was going to suggest that his question, like you, is immaterial. That's how.

Soft dollars count. Chromosone cleaning has shown substantial benefits for myself. But as Iamwhomiam said, "fuhgeddaboudit." It will slowly happen. But mitigation is possible, and can be substantial. What we don't lose we keep. 1 measured teaspoon a day. Take a week break every now and then because too much of a good thing is too much. But, this is good shit.

Holy shit. You're under 30? I also wouldn't recommend LSD to anybody -- at least my better self. Just one bad trip can give you panic attacks and paranoia for the rest of your life.

Past 30, as in, I'm over 30 now.

My relatives think I'm Dorian Gray and I still get ID'd everywhere I go, so I feel approx. 19 years old most days.

My bad LSD trips were every bit as instructive as my amazingly wonderful ones.

One of those "I can't recommend it, but it worked for me" things.

Seen way, way, way too many friends and acquaintances (mostly the latter, obviously!) get destroyed by it. You ain't wrong.

I do too and I smoke like a chimney and have for at least 20 years. Everybody thinks I'm 28.

Yeah, have to agree that Crimson Peak was great. Visually stunning, much better than the trailer let on. And, while creepy, certainly not a traditional horror movie.
