Heh, well I'm a lot more shy speaking to "adults" than that, and I am one of the worst people at math on the planet(unless it's noticing numerological patterns in famous dates) I love that clip though, it's one of my favorite "stick it" scenes next to a few scenes in Network. At the end of the day I'm just glad I don't have a bunch of toxic social dysfunction from people, a loveless deadend relationship and reams of stress. I figure more money someone has, the more temptations and problems. Hell, it finally occurred to me I could actually make the food I like to go out for and save money/not clog arteries as quick doing it. It's so easy to be stuck in these routines, and I think people who work for these agencies or military literally see it as a run of the mill job...never thinking of the implications other than not having money to feed their family.
I always think of how the spirit of the 60's and 70's anti war movement is nowhere to be found in today's college youth; partly because of technology distractions but also perhaps the lack of a draft

I try to avoid the big news networks, but our lobby keeps CNN on constantly. Passing through and catching soundbytes is always kind of jarring. This morning a lot of focus is being paid on how the White House changed it's story.
It made me realize that this could actually backfire for Obama really badly, and wind up spelling a big win for the neocons in the end. Perhaps it will actually be revealed for the first time to be one big elaborate psyop. Someone like Trump would be completely open to assume to presidency, after the kind of smarmy weekend Obama had.
Added bonus: as far as mainstream American thought is concerned, Obama would be the first to stage such an elaborate hoax for PR purposes. Keep the cycle running.

I agree wholeheartedly. I see it around me everywhere and it is probably the thing that I most object to and literally (some days) find impossible to live with. I guess you've probably long ago seen the documentary "The Corporation?" If you haven't I think you'd like it. I might go put it on right now and listen as I paint.
Absolutely - sometimes it feels like living in a rancid psychic soup. Do you find Nature seems to help restore sanity to some extent? Art too seems to help - I play my bass.
The Corporation is superb, isnt it? The degree of harm caused by 'Corporate Personhood' is incredible - because the personhood allowed is basicially that of an inhuman psychopath.
I thought this Osama thing incredibly cynical (if he was killed as described) He was apparently unarmed. When did this human being lose the right to a trial? Who gives another the right to murder unarmed people? What happened to the children present?
Re: OSAMA BIN LADEN ANNOUNCED DEAD BY OBAMA (renamed thread)
Luther, doesn't it seem like the big talking points are MEANT to evoke suspicion?
- massive obvious compound right next to the main military academy, in the middle of where many military leaders live?
- no pictures, no video. Hey just take our word for it. Sloppy and incorrect "burial at sea"=get rid of the evidence/inflame the muslim world
- Osama shot backed/used wife as human shield admitted to be wrong
Maybe the birther thing was timed just before this so noone would be asking questions? Or like you said, maybe its meant to implode(like the WMD lies in Iraq)
Or maybe its all made to make Pakistan look bad? So many possibilities...and while JackRiddler is right, in a few days everyone will have forgotten and it'll be business as usual...HERE is the narrative I am seeing:
"al Qaeda has been defeated, but they might try some reprisal attack"
What this means is RIGHT when America forgot, and gets comfortable...BAM! Mushroom cloud time. The embarassing goofy terror attempts by Anwar Awlaki and Yemen will only go so far...and those have run their course

Good point about the trial.
It's now clear they CHOSE to shoot him. He was not armed, wasnt reaching for a weapon. No human shield. All along(if it is really him) they planned to kill him, and dump the body. Like a bunch of thugs. Even if I believed the embarrassing holocaust denial/elvis is alive/birther level lies of the "official 9/11 story", I still couldn't feel too proud of what they did and how people cheered.
Also, I know we give Hugh a hard time and vice versa...but I think there is something to memetic keyword programming. And I think it goes beyond "Pentagon Planners".
How many of us, how many bloggers, writers, and even anchors accidentally conflate Obama with Osama and vice versa. Not because we're somehow racist or dumb, but because the names are almost identical. "Obama was shot", "Osama Got Obama", etc.
Ok..I know this gets into really wacked out Lincoln/JFK synchronicites and theories...but come on, Obama/Osama. Are we to believe the racist pigs who run the show would ever let a black man with an amalgamated name of our two enemies from 2001-2003 run for president unless it was by design to 1) stoke the right wing racists and 2) program the language? Talk about a word sigil

AB-SO-LUTELY. Just walking in the woods does me wonders. You too? My aim is to move to a place where I have my own woods - I just want to know that the nature there is free to do what it wants (unlike in public places where one day there is a tree, the next day its got a big red X on it, and the week it is gone.) and I want privacy while I bask in it.

the corporation is a phenomenal work. Can't believe that we're still allowing them to get away with the personhood baloney.
yes.. back to topic!! (sorry everyone)
The Osama thing is very divisive already. I, like you, ask those sorts of questions and remember MLK imploring us not to answer violence with violence. But say that sort of thing to the wrong person and WHAM... it's a mess.

Agreed and there are sites doing this. But the NSA has the best/most data.

8bitagent wrote:Well even though it woulda just been doing graphic design/programming bundled software and training packages, a couple weeks before the clearance process was to begin I called em up and respectfully declined. If you've seen the 2001 9/11-esque NORAD war game brochures and pdfs leaked, you can see that despite all the conspiracies of DEW weapons and exotic high tech WTC beams...the government's internal documents and layouts have always been super shitty embarrassing.
Now my favorite film of all time is the rather obscure 1992 family film "Toys" starring Robin Williams, a surrealist Rene Magritte inspired whimsical tale of a warmongering General who's plans for WW3 involve getting kids hooked on piloting video game simulators. The kids think its all a virtual reality game, when in fact they really are bombing people as part of their conditioning. So the whole point of the film is creative innocence and wonder being destroyed by war. I consider the predator/reaper/drone stuff some of the most spiritually wrong things in the military. Sure, they arent the 5000 lb daisy cutters or MOAB or DU bombs. But the idea of people in a cushy room in Virginia using video game joysticks to pilot what looks like a video game and blowing up men women and often children in villages...then going to the break room with a diet coke and sandwich an hour later joking about getting laid and the previous night's episode of The Office...just makes me fucking sick to my stomach.
Obama invoked 9/11 in graphic emotional triggering terms Sunday night, saying Osama's actions created spaces that the dinner table that would never be filled or some shit like that. And Im sitting there thinking, what about all the Muslim dinner tables where whole families are wiped out?

Respect. I'm off your back for at least a week. I wish I could beam your message to the universities, to all the potential young recruits walking in for their interviews with CIA-Pentagon-DARPA-NSA or MIC contractors. And I mean this seriously: Thank you for your service. Your decision is a small and personal one in the big scheme of things, and cannot be called heroic, but right, worthy and smart.
"Service." If only that word was really understood, if it were understood that Bradley Manning did not violate but upheld his oath to defend the Constitution, when he chose not to cover up but to expose the crimes he saw and learned about.

I didn't know the Davis-Uranium thing was bupkis. Though I still believe he was trying to stir up Lashkar-e-Toiba and the two men killed may have been ISI. All I know is that there has been a concerted effort to frame Pakistan in a negative light since around that time.
Btw, Alex Jones claims he predicted 9/11. I think a much more accurate and chilling prediction was by William Cooper a full month before, on june 28th 2001
Lucky guess? or where the wind was blowing in that summer of shark/gary condit chandra levy pool?

Hey, don't hate on the autists! We are virtually unemployable- only 15% according to UK stats. If American war workers are emotionally shut down, it's probably due to some other condition. Mkay?
