There is evidence. GZ's story never changed, from the very first moments after the shooting. He willingly talked to the police, despite knowing that he didn't have to. The evidence presented at trial all supported his version of events.

in the interview with Sean Hannity Zimmmerman the child killer says he had NEVER heard of the Stand Your Ground law....at the trial the guy who taught Zimmerman the child killer told the court the Stand Your Ground was covered totally class after class...first LIE... The night Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin he told police that he had a clean record when in fact, he had been charged in 2005 with resisting arrest during an altercation with a state alcohol officer.

When Zimmerman was booked into the Seminole County Jail, he told the booking officer that he had never been in a pretrial-diversion program before, but he had. After his resisting arrest Zimmerman wound up in a pretrial-diversion program, a scaled-down version of probation offered to nonviolent first-time offenders.

Shellie, while testifying under oath by telephone, said the couple had no savings. At that moment, the couple had at least $135,000 that she had transferred into her credit-union account a few days earlier from a PayPal account that Zimmerman had set up to collect donations

Which she was arrested for and will be going to trial for ...15 years in jail...would be nice!

In late March, Robert Zimmerman told MyFox Orlando that:

"It's my understanding that Trayvon Martin got on top of him and just started beating him."

He said he felt his son has been portrayed in the wrong way. He also said he and his family have received death threats and asked that they not show his face on camera.

As for accounts from Trayvon Martin's girlfriend, who says she was on the phone with Martin right before the altercation, he said:

"I don't believe that happened. I don't believe she was on the phone with him, and I find it very strange with the publicity involved... that all of a sudden, after three weeks, someone would remember that they were on the phone."

Turns out Trayvon's girlfriend was telling the truth as it is on record that she was talking to him before Zimmerman killed him.

George Zimmerman is a liar...a racist and a child killer....that racist part will be proven when Federal charges are filed and he's in FEDERAL COURT and in civil court where he will have to testify

You understand that the word of the person who did it isn't really evidence you can take to the bank, right?

I'm not saying he's lying. But OF COURSE he thinks what he did was justified. Try to bear in mind that you're assessing the word of someone who was so freaked out by the sight of an unarmed black teenager walking home from the store that he called 911 about it.

No. There was quite a bit of evidence that didn't support his claims of having been brutally attacked. For example, he was barely injured; Martin didn't have any of his DNA under his nails; and his gun grip didn't have any of Martin's; and Martin had neither any reason to attack him nor any history of that kind of assault.

There was no proof that his claim of self-defense was untrue. But that doesn't = "He was attacked!" It =reasonable doubt.

That hardly proves he was attacked. They were fighting. Nobody disputes that.

Again: They were fighting. That says nothing about who attacked whom. And anyway, his injuries were not severe enough to support his claim that he was being brutally assaulted. If you don't find that conclusive, fine. But it is evidence.

Bingo compared2what?. There's no proof Trayvon attacked Zimmerman. But there is proof he was kicking his racist fucking ass. Which, considering the creep was stalking him, I think he was totally right to stand his ground and defend himself. Just my opinion, and obviously it carries no legal weight whatsoever.

It looks like the Department of Justice is really going to take a look at the George Zimmerman case.

The Sanford Police Department announced on Thursday that the DOJ has placed a hold on all the evidence from the case.

That means the 9mm gun used to murder 17-year-old Trayvon Martin won't go back to Zimmerman just yet. But details on what the DOJ plans to do with the evidence isn't yet clear.

We'll keep you updated with the latest.

I wouldn't say "kicking his ass." He was barely hurt. But yeah. There was clearly a fight.

And DOUBLE FUCK YEAH: That Zimmerman was pursuing him really does count against the self-defense claim. Or it should, anyway. I mean,if the victim in a rape trial ever testifed that she'd followed her attacker, it would sure as hell be considered evidence that she hadn't been attacked***. And probably definitive evidence, too. Rightly or wrongly.

Seems to mean nothing here, though.

***ON EDIT: That she was asking for it, basically. I'm not saying it's right to go that far. But if there's a reason besides racism why nothing that's even remotely a teensy-eensy bit like that apparently applies to Zimmerman, hell if I know what.
