What you don't know can't hurt them.

Authorities also found a journal where Johnson wrote about his shooting tactics and rap music.

Do I really have to spell it out for you?Blue » Sun Jul 17, 2016 10:56 pm wrote:That's a strange statement - the part about regardless of what actually happened that's what they thought at the time...how do you know what they thought?I was trying to see it from the cop's point of view. For them, this was a guy who just killed several of their colleagues/friends. Regardless of what actually happened that's what they thought at the time, and acted accordingly.
And as far as a cop's POV. They are fucking trained as part of their job in how to deal with situations where fellow cops are down and how to respond in a professional manner. Not emotional like regular civilians would respond. But I guess the Blue Wall of Brotherhood can't be criticized for acting like their lives matter MORE.
I think it's a modern dance interpretation of his rhetoric.
Two full weeks after the attack, they finally unveil this legendary "brick corner":Brown said he faced a difficult choice -- with no way to send officers after the gunman without further jeopardizing their lives.
"He was secreted behind a brick corner," he said,

This is the spot where the gunman was cornered by police in a second story hallway at El Centro College in downtown Dallas, July 19, 2016. On their other side of this wall is a server room, left. The police detonated a bomb, killing the gunman and causing all the structural damage. (Tom Fox/The Dallas Morning News)
No it doesn't, at least from growing up in the South, my vernacular and background knows the difference between brick and concrete walls. Especially if you have construction background. And it's impossible to tell by those pictures if it's a corner or not. This looks like it would qualify as a "brick" wall.
Perhaps even a corner.
I do have some construction experience in which cinder block and brick are interchangeable, that's what it look like to me, definitive? I understand the reason why he wanted his officers to appear friendly (a bullet proof vest isn't all that noticeable, is it?) but I find it ironic that the supposed sniper was dressed in body armor while the police were not."In a morning radio call to KSKY/660 AM host Mark Davis, Patrick even questioned Dallas Police Chief David Brown’s choice for officers to wear their more friendly summer shirtsleeves instead of menacing body armor."
So you just refuse to post the caption, Burnt Hill, despite being asked politely twice? Although you know exactly what that caption states?Burnt Hill » Wed Jul 20, 2016 9:10 am wrote:It doesn't say anything that rules out it being the brick corner he was behind.
