minime, when quoting and editing someone else's comment, leave their original words but strike-through the text you're replacing.

If you truly desire to broaden the input focus, broaden your output.

I appreciate your suggestion, but I'm happy to abandon the whole 'ftfy' innovation, at least here at RI.

Hey, whom, do you feel something BIG will happen this Spring?

So ... assuming you have on occasion broken through the mass hypnotization to avoid the ongoing fecal matter examinations here at RI ...

Could you give me a couple links to some of the huge good news you are referring to?
I'm asking the question again, minime, you appear to have missed it. It's quite possible something BIG will happen this spring will be wonderful, as you seem to be hinting. What do you think it is?

I didn't missed it, or the several other similar requests. I have a few other links/posts to make first, opetero's thread being a capricious first offering--an example of how crucial approach and preparation are, that is to say, how not to do it. Something, something...

After all, I have set for myself an impossible task.

What, making sense? Or maybe passive-aggressive really is an oxymoron.

Apollo 13, Waco, Oklahoma City bombing, Columbine, Chernobyl, L.A. riots...I’m sure this list Is incomplete. But yeah I understand the OP’s anxiety/apprehension, I’m feeling it, too.

Good catch, Cordelia. That's been on my mind too, as well as the 1968 assassinations of MLK and RFK, both of which occurred in the spring.

Trump resigning would be BIG. I don't see the GOP forcing him out politically but he is unpredictable enough to quit in a hissy fit. An assassination could happen. In any case where Trump leaves the office of POTUS ahead of schedule especially if by surprise, the transition will be disorderly. Trump has formed an unstable administration and the politics are such that the GOP is not going to improve matters with or without the Democrats. I am not certain that a resignation by Trump would be positive. Pence is a creep.

Also in the spirit of April, I am not blind to the irony of Easter falling on April Fools Day. That Sunday may turn out to be on the news in a very sad way. I hope not, but this country has contracted rabies. I’m staying home.

Sounds like advice I'll be following. And I love the rabies quote!
