Quick head-up - Jeff prohibited posting Gilad's stuff here and if you do you will get suspended.
This came in after the Atzmon thread which nearly destroyed the board.
That said, the above is news to me.
A specific cite would be helpful..I think I need to be clear upfront in this one: I'll regard advocacy here for Atzmon as a violation of RI's posting guidelines

I didn't realise that was the specific reason. looking at the thread I thought it was about generally provocative material in the region of race and culture.Searcher08 » Thu Feb 27, 2014 4:07 pm wrote: bluenoseclaret was given a two-week timeout after posting an Atzmon post.
Don't know much about this Atzmon character so I'm unlikely to fall foul of this rule.

If and when Searcher provides specific cites, such claims will be more credible. The implication above is that bluenoseclaret was suspended specifically for posting Atzmon but that person does seem to have a deeply bigoted view of the world in general and often veers towards vitriolic racism in their posts.Searcher08 » Thu Feb 27, 2014 4:07 pm wrote: bluenoseclaret was given a two-week timeout after posting an Atzmon post.

Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

Here is more:American Dream » Thu Feb 27, 2014 5:45 am wrote:Daniel Guerin was a very important anti-fascist figure, amongst other things:

Understanding Fascism: Daniel Guérin's Brown Plague
Most of the ways in which fascism is often said to have distinguished itself were not in fact unique. The movement was opportunist – that had happened before. It was based on a leadership cult – that has been common. It opposed the values of the French revolution. Its propaganda was nationalistic and inegalitarian. It employed violence against its opponents. All of these characteristics represent merely the loose change of history. They were hardly unique in interwar Italy or Germany, and have not been rare since. The best definition of the uniqueness of fascism is rather a historical one. Fascism brought to modern, industrial Europe the practice of genocide. This combination matters. Since the industrial revolution, few developed capitalist countries have gone to war with another, and none except Germany has attempted to butcher such a large number of its own people.
Fascism is most often defined today in relationship to genocide. The word fascism itself is inseparable from the fate of the Jews in Germany. The War and the Holocaust do not seem to retreat into the past, in the way that we might expect from phrases such as 'to consign [an event] to history'. They remain in present-day focus. Yet if fascism was primarily a form of state terrorism against minorities, which were not minorities (women, workers), and if fascism was only a preparation for war and genocide – then why did anyone support it at the time, and why has anyone tried to revive it since? We can formulate the same question differently, and in terms that were of interest to the writer whose work forms the subject of this paper. How far was fascism a radical or even revolutionary movement? How far did it take the spontaneous demands of German people, and reproduce them in new ways? And to what extent did it provide the people with answers that were hostile to their own?
This paper is an account of Daniel Guérin's book The Brown Plague: Travels in Late Weimar and Early Nazi Germany. The book is a first-hand account of two tours through Germany, in 1932 and 1933.

I certainly won't claim to have watched the whole thing but when I cut in on the video, I heard him running down classic neofascist talking points ala the Third Positionist/National Anarchist views we have heard here of late, such as those of Keith Preston: "beyond right and left", the inherent inequality of various groups of people, etc, etc.
Essentialism loomed large...

I hope this does not apply to Solace's Quote of American Dreams's post, designed to preserve American Dream's Atzmon post after he has deleted his own copy within 24 hours.

Thanks for posting this citation. I'm sure I read it before but the details get kinda fuzzy sometimes. Links are always helpful, since I've seen quotes sometimes taken out of context.brainpanhandler » Thu Feb 27, 2014 3:51 pm wrote:A view of their posting history makes it clear what their interest is here.American Dream » Thu Feb 27, 2014 11:42 am wrote:If and when Searcher provides specific cites, such claims will be more credible.
