Dr. Gerald Pollack, UW professor of bioengineering, has developed a theory of water that has been called revolutionary. The researcher has spent the past decade convincing worldwide audiences that water is not actually a liquid. Pollack explains his fascinating theory in this 32nd Annual Faculty Lecture.

Thanks, Norton. Codco was so good, it must have gotten on air by mistake.

Maria Yudina: What are you listening to right now?

Pierre d'Achoppement wrote:...
Stalins favorite pianist [REFER.]
Mozart Concerto No. 23 in A Major (1/3) |Maria Yudina
As the story goes, she was awaken in her home early one morning by Stalin’s people, who immediately drove her to the nearest studio to record Mozart’s 23rd, which Stalin had requested—and received. Evidently, Yudina’s performances were more than enough for Stalin to overlook her uncompromising dislike of the regime. (Begs the questions: What was it about Stalin that he was so moved by Mozart’s 23rd? Or, was his request demand, in any way unbeknownst to us, retaliation?)
An early piano coach once told me that I should be able to play any piece perfectly, for instance, Brahms, Chopin or Prokofiev works, after being awakened by a knock on the front door by someone who wanted to hear any randomly chosen pieces of the visitor’s delight performed by me in the living room at 4AM. I retorted , ‘Not without three grand in hand.’

You are so darn good! I just love that about you.
…in a certain kind of a way, you know…
…it’s about the reprise.

i looked all over the world
witnessed every type of girl
yet your empty eyes
seemed to have passed me by
just gonna dance all night
all messed up - so outta line
stilettos on broken bottles
spinning around in circles
watching all our friends fall
in & out of old Paul's
this is my idea of fun

Interpretation of our favourite Anti-Flag song, "Good And Ready". We sang with the band at Reading Festival in August 2008 and this version was written as a tribute to them.
You'll get yours when you're good and ready
You'll get yours and go straight to hell
And when that day comes
You can be good and sure
The day belongs to us
Life is a horror show
And baby it will never stop
They tell me to watch my step
I answer back: "You watch your mouth!"
So many stories you have told
You and stories have grown old
SOS who will save our ship?
SOS who gives a shit?
Sinking like a rock with a heart of coal
Sinking like a rock without a soul
Please note, don't underestimate
Cause I'm a cruel motherfucker!

...
Another oldie but goodie;
Didnt know what time it was the lights were low oh oh
I leaned back on my radio oh oh
Some cat was layin down some rock n roll lotta soul, he said
Then the loud sound did seem to fay hay hade
Came back like a slow voice on a wave of fay hay haze
That werent no d.j. that was hazy cosmic jive
Theres a starman waiting in the sky
Hed like to come and meet us
But he thinks hed blow our minds
Theres a starman waiting in the sky
Hes told us not to blow it
Cause he knows its all worthwhile
He told me:
Let the children lose it
Let the children use it
Let all the children boogie
I had to phone someone so I picked on you hoo hoo
Hey, thats far out so you heard him too oo oo!
Switch on the tv we may pick him up on channel two
Look out your window I can see his lie high height
If we can sparkle he may land too nigh high knight
Dont tell your poppa or hell get us locked up in fright
Theres a starman waiting in the sky
Hed like to come and meet us
But he thinks hed blow our minds
Theres a starman waiting in the sky
Hes told us not to blow it
Cause he knows its all worthwhile
He told me:
Let the children lose it
Let the children use it
Let all the children boogie...
(repeat chorus, fade)
I'll get a webcam one day. Then my friends can see my hazy cosmic jive!
