Normally, I find the crisis actor true believers wholly unpersuasive. But in this bizarro case, I am starting to think it may actually apply to some of the "witnesses" who have been paraded in front of our TV screens.

Come to think of it I haven't seen any footage of any actual paramedics (or ambulances) anywhere near the scene. Could just be a coincidence though.
Coincidence? I think not.
I'll admit, I got drawn into some of the old Boston Bomber crisis actor posts. I mean, there were some oddities in the photographic evidence, especially the guy with the cowboy hat . . . but at the end of the day I couldn't bring myself to dismiss the real violence and victims over a few questionable photographs.

Re: Orlando / Pulse Mass Shooting Thread
Has this been posted about Omar buying jewelry?
Also, he supposedly bought three tickets to San Francisco the day before, scheduled to depart in July.
Strange behavior for someone about to commit a terrible crime and die in the process. Maybe he expected to live? Maybe he didn't make up his mind to do it until the hours before? Erratic behavior is by no means evidence of innocence, nor of guilt.
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/06/21/om ... ttack.htmlThe Orlando nightclub terrorist Omar Mateen reportedly brought nearly $9,000 worth of expensive jewelry less than a week before committing the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.
According to ABC News, Mateen made the purchase at a Kay Jewelers on June 6 in Jenson Beach. The store is located near the Lotus Gun Shop where Mateen was turned away after seeking to buy bulk ammunition and heavy-duty body armor.
Signet, which owns the jewelry store, didn’t confirm Mateen’s purchase but did say they were "working closely" with authorities in their investigation into the shooter.

Judging from this and what witnesses say that they heard Mateen saying on a phone call, he believed he had help, inside and outside, and that he was going to escape. More evidence for his having been a player getting played.Novem5er » Tue Jun 21, 2016 9:07 pm wrote:Has this been posted about Omar buying jewelry?

That James Howell character who was apprehended in California with a car full of explosives and weapons also said that he believed he would attack the parade then be whisked away to safety but pulled the plug on the operation when he saw that Mateen had been killed.Judging from this and what witnesses say that they heard Mateen saying on a phone call, he believed he had help, inside and outside, and that he was going to escape. I think you guys are right, though, that Omar expected to get away. I seem to recall that he tried to flee the scene through the hole that was created by the police explosives, at which point he was shot and killed. That doesn't seem like a very bright plan, and maybe he decided to just get shot at the end, but up until that point it did seem like he had aspirations of living.
Another interesting find tonight: a friend of Omar, and fellow Muslim at the same mosque, actually called the FBI on him back in 2014. The feds definitely knew who this guy was. They said that Omar was removed from their watch list after 10 months when nothing else came up in their investigation. My question is, and this is not an original question, what's the freaking point of this massive surveillance state that we live in, if they the people on their freaking watch lists aren't monitored forever and forever?
Seriously, I get paranoid that the feds are tracking me for coming to sites like RigInt, but yet they have no clue that Omar is spending his midnight hours wacking off to jihad porn? I just find that very hard to believe.
http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/21/us/orland ... index.htmlMalik, who first wrote of his contact with Mateen and with the FBI in an op-ed in the Washington Post, told CNN that Mateen mentioned Anwar al-Awlaki -- American-born Muslim scholar and cleric who acted as a spokesperson for al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula -- to him and that Mateen watched his videos.
"He told me they were powerful," Malik said. "... those raised the red flags for me and prompted me to speak with the FBI."

I used to get paranoid too with my old blog as well as posting here. I think it was Atrios at Eschaton Blog or maybe it was Lambert at Corrente who wrote back in the day "good, maybe they'll learn something". I would go to all the anti-war marches and rallies and there would be people who would drive by swearing at us and were somewhat threatening. But back then I was scared. I remember one night I was penning some blog post in my apartment and a group of loud jocks (or something) drove past my place and I was like they're onto me -- blackshirts or some shit. I believed my wild imagination for a bit. Jumping at shadows. I wasn't scared scared scared scared scared but I would be listening to Mike Malloy on Air America and every once in awhile he'd say someone was trying to get into his studio while he was on air and I thought they were coming for us all. Yet at that "early" date who that was anti-war to know?

Re: Orlando / Pulse Mass Shooting Thread
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/police ... id=UP97DHPORLANDO — After an initial burst of fire between Omar Mateen and a security guard at the Pulse nightclub, a group of five to six police officers arrived on the scene within minutes, broke through a large glass window and entered the club as the killing of 49 people was underway inside, according to a Belle Isle police officer who was among the first responders.
In the first public accounting of those critical early minutes by an officer who actually went inside the club, Belle Isle police officer Brandon Cornwell, 25, said the ad-hoc team spent the first seconds inside “trying to locate exactly where the shooter was — we kept hearing people scream and shots fired.”
Cornwell said they never saw Mateen; he said the shooter had vanished inside the dimly lit club as Cornwell and the other officers followed the sounds of screams and echoing gunfire to the bathroom area where they presumed the gunman was now holed up. He said they aimed their assault rifles toward that area as the sounds of gunfire stopped. He said that they then followed orders to hold their position for what he described as “15 or 20 minutes — could’ve been longer” until the SWAT team arrived.
What is not entirely clear from Cornwell’s statements is whether the officers spent that entire period inside the club, guns aimed at the bathroom area, or whether they withdrew at some point to the outside of the club before SWAT arrived, leaving Mateen time to move freely about the club and possibly start shooting again. Cornwell declined to clarify this point among others, citing the ongoing investigation and instructions not to talk about such details.

Re: Orlando / Pulse Mass Shooting Thread
Yeah, I get a little paranoid every once in a while. I have a blog that I used to post to everyday and I subscribed to StatCounter to track the visits. I rarely post anymore but over the years I accumulated over one million hits and all sorts of federal agencies, the White House, Homeland Security, pentagon, Lockheed Martin, etc., visited on a somewhat regular basis. It could've been nothing, just people searching the Internet at work, nevertheless, it was creepy.82_28 » Wed Jun 22, 2016 3:14 am wrote:Seriously, I get paranoid that the feds are tracking me for coming to sites like RigInt, but yet they have no clue that Omar is spending his midnight hours wacking off to jihad porn? Re: Orlando / Pulse Mass Shooting Thread
If this was already posted, sorry, but I thought this video was kind of interesting. Luis Burbano, the guy who claimed he held the door shut in Orlando is an actor on IMDB. The guy in the video below shows a screenshot of his latest acting gig, Spirit of Orlando: Shooting Up, which is no longer listed on his page.
Then, he shows Omar Mateen in a documentary from 2012 on the topic of BP Oil. Mateen says, "No one gives a shit here. They want more disaster to happen because that's where their money-making is."
Omar's IMDB page was also scrubbed. Go to https://archive.org/web/, then copy imdb's link for Omar Mateen (I) (–2016) which is http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5753533/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 and paste this link and a calendar will pop up. Look for date with a circle around it and it will give you these results
This is the final link: https://web.archive.org/web/20160617000 ... fn_al_nm_1

Re: Orlando / Pulse Mass Shooting Thread
Why were there no ambulances evacuating or paramedics tending to the injured? Why were the injured being carried by nightclub goers without stretchers? Why were they instead being loaded onto the back of pickups?
If we are to believe the accounts of the bathroom stall survivors, Mateen alternating between talking with the hostage negotiators and indiscriminately shooting huddled masses in two different bathrooms while an entire SWAT team surrounded the nightclub.
Why didn't the SWAT team move in when Mateen started shooting the victims huddled in the bathroom stalls? Why negotiate with someone who is in the act of indiscriminately spaying his hostages with bullets?
