Over the last few weeks, a number of drones have mysteriously been spotted over four air bases used by the US Air Force (USAF) in the UK.

The unmanned aerial devices were first spotted on 20 November, over and in the vicinity of RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall, in Suffolk, RAF Feltwell in Norfolk and RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.

The unusual activity has prompted an investigation by the UK's Ministry of Defence (MoD) police.

Around 60 British troops, including counter-drone specialists, have also been deployed to help defend the bases.

Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) says the Ocean County, NJ sheriff told him an officer saw 50 drones come in off the ocean, and a Coast Guard boat was followed by drones. Smith calls on the Pentagon to share its shoot-down capabilities, because the drones could be from China or Putin

The drones are here - they're circling the area. I didn't really get good footage because they're bit out of my phone's range.

Some with green lights - definitely not planes, the flashes are constant.

OK, just saw one of the mystery drones in Rockaway, NJ. It was hovering. If that’s a plane, I’m a horse’s ass!

It's very possible that I could be afflicted with confirmation bias, as I was specifically out tonight to see if I could spot a mystery drone, but my best impression is I've never observed an aircraft like that hovering in the sky before, and it was definitely not a plane

“This agreement is a significant accomplishment and will demonstrate the NARTP’s ability to facilitate aviation research,” said NARTP Board Chairman Mark Loeben, a retired Air Force major general and current American Airlines captain. “USTRANSCOM and AMC are major players in aviation. Their interest in working with the NARTP helps to advance both the development of the NARTP and the emerging aviation industry in New Jersey’s Atlantic County.”

Under the terms of the Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA), the parties will cooperatively develop a prototype dual-use U.S. East Coast test and evaluation corridor for the demonstration, development, and evaluation of military, commercial, academic, and Federal Government UAS and AAM technologies with future application to strategic airlift capabilities of the U.S. Air Force.

UASs are often referred to as drones, while AAM involves the use of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft to move people and cargo between places not easily served by other modes of transportation. Both UAS and AAM technologies are being developed rapidly by government and military agencies and private industry and the testing corridor will help to safely integrate them into the national airspace.

White House reveals nationwide drone sightings were a result of drones authorized by the FAA for “research” purposes.

This contradicts the Biden administration’s claim that they were unaware of the drones’ origin.
