occupy bay street (Toronto) is impossible to find live updates for. the 'live streaming' stuff i've found thus far are either NOT live streams in any way, shape or form OR they aren't working.
figures... if anyone has any links they'd be appreciated.

I can understand both viewpoints if that's possible. Regardless, Americans are not South Asians, that is, they, we, are a pretty aggressive people basically. I can't see this staying non-violent however wise it would be... good luck to all involved however weak that sounds. I am watching this all from berlin.

Don't know how to embed a video, but here is the link to one from Rome today where peaceful protesters, who are the overwhelming majority of the Indignants in the plaza, try to stop the Black Bloc and get them away from the Colosseum. Italy has a serious, longstanding problem with sophisticated and well-funded manipulation and infiltration by counter-revolutionary forces such as the P2 Lodge and Italian and foreign intel agencies, AND rampant and over-the-top machismo, which, IMO are the two main motivators of this violence, which is counter-consensus and is the quickest way to destroy the movement and bring a halt to both it's on-going democratic conversation and it's support by the majority.

If the protesters are violent, apart from anything else, they will be choosing to fight the state-us-quo on it's strongest
territory, namely that of organised and sustained violence. It's a battle they can only lose in every confrontation short of country wide revolution. And even for that revolution to be successful they're going to need the military onside.

I took part in the march on Chase Banks today.
The protester column was at least four blocks long, and I can't even begin to estimate the number of people.
I marched from 11:00 am til 2:00, and there was no violence that I saw, although the Pinkertons were out in force.
We were clogging up Broadway for a lot of the time, so I feared that it might get ugly. Perhaps they're just saving it for tonight on the world's stage (Times Square)?
