Oh dear oh dear. I'm too full of mischief.

I'm sorry c2w, for this remark. It actually might be seen to imply an undercurrent of misogyny and sexism that I did not intend. But it was a phrase I often heard growing up in a large and largely female household. I meant to edit it out though. In context it sounded a little patronising.
I know I'm patronising. Pompous, too.
Although on the other hand, I know a few men who like to wear knickers. I really think nice lingerie is an essential part of the whole ensemble, if you know what I mean.
Besides which, I have far more admiration for women typically than men. Although in the arena of western politics there have been a few infamous women in the last thirty years. Margaret Thatcher, Madeleine Albright (sp?) and Hilary Clinton come to mind. The worst are overwhelmingly male of course. Outside of politics I find women typically more humane and intelligent than men. Also wiser. I try to consider myself really quite genderless. A genderless, eternal spirit. Like I hope we all are. Or something of that nature. Although no doubt I have all the unfortunate "male" traits, whatever they may be. How far is gender a social construction? Gosh that's an interesting question. At any rate, I certainly have many unfortunate traits, regardless of how gender specific they are.
While I'm here, I'll apologise to wintler2 again.

Choice note you strike at the end there, your 'love me love me SLAP!' trip is obvious, except possibly to you.
No, no, it's obvious to me too. I like to try to be kind and humorous, but I have a wicked tongue in my head. I do restrain it a great deal actually. But that is no comfort to you, nor excuse for me. I'm sorry. I'm only having fun. The computer said this would be fun, and it was right. However, I honestly don't want to generate any ill feeling at all anywhere in the cosmos. I regret it a great deal when I do. You can always tell me to stick my apology. I won't hold it against you. I'm glad you oppose the mega corporations and allied conservative think tanks that are largely responsible for several large messes the human race currently finds itself in.
Best wishes to you both.
However, I dont promise not to post in that Clive Hamilton thread again!
