That's why you are not a Fortean or an Anomalist.
But if you are a reader of Jeff's blog you are quite familiar with the Fortean Name Game synchronicity factor. If you ascribed any significance to these coincidences beyond noting their existence you'd be a SynchroMystic or other type of Believer. Anomalists and Forteans are Intermediatists, Agnostics, Informationalists. They gather anomalous data, damned data, the things that don't seem to fit, that science and logic reject because they seem too strange.
This isn't about a "weak theory" as there is no theory. There is data and inquisitiveness. There is the sense of Remote Associations. There are apparent patterns that seem to connect without a clear cause and effect.
I think we're all interested in such games. As much as I've been dismayed at some of Hugh's posits, I find his associative deep state name games interesting. And goodness knows I've alleged some of the strangest anomalist/synchronicities out there.
There's a temptation however, to see "everything" as some "occult conspiracy". Thats when you get into Texxe Marrs and Jordan Maxwell territory....where if a celebrity shakes someone hand too fast, "its a sign they are a 56th degree illuminist!"
I think all of us deep down are a little like the character in the film "The number 23"...
Im sure most of us when we were little remember the JFK/Lincoln synchronicity meme?

Yep. Too bad Michael Hoffman and Fritz Springmeier turned out to be hardcore white supremist Nazis.
"Do you know who I am? I am the arm, and I sound like this..."-man from another place, twin peaks fire walk with me
