I try not to go there anymore either, because everytime you click on that site, it only puts more money in the Admins pockets, but that doesn't mean that when they do something so blatant, that it shouldn't be exposed. They've been getting away with purging their undesirables for too many years now.

Once inna while when someone (here) suggests a lively or interesting topic, I've checked in -- but the rarified atmosphere there and pro-forma rules don't encourage my dropping-in or participation. Now this.

Then I posted a RIP thread in GBLT and it was deleted in 30 seconds.

Then TechBear_Seattle posted a thread annoyed that my thread was locked.

They deleted his thread in 15 seconds.

They they deleted every single post mentioning any of the 4 and made any threads disappear.

When I mentioned the threads were disappearing they banned me.

Then TechBear, then PelosiFan, then Sundog.

Every mention of any of the bannings has been wiped clean in seconds so that the rest of DU will not know what they are doing.

Anytime a post goes up even hinting that anything is wrong it is immediately deleted from the forums.

Edit: Now add "Sheets of Easter" to the list. He/she mentioned this morning on GLBT that they were a sock puppet of a formerly banned gay member. No idea which one, but they flamed out a few minutes ago.

Plus they banned leftchick a couple of weeks ago. Both were among the best that they had there.

When DU first started up it was a great place for me, I met the most intelligent people ever (stickdog where are you?) Opened my eyes to a lot of stuff, that is no longer acceptable to post there btw, I stayed because of my friends but so many are gone from there now and so am I. Skinner should be down on his hands and knees thanking the original postes who made it take off without them he would have had nothing. He built it with the name Democratic UNDERGROUND and it is NOTHING of the sort now It is a hateful site because of the posters he had decided to let say and the ones he has personally taken advantage of and then tossed them out like garbage when he decided they were of no use to him any longer. They got in the way of his truth. People are coddled into believeing there is no censorship there, far from the truth for sure.
