The 'Obama was (possibly) groomed by the CIA' thread

DrVolin wrote:Groomed, quite possibly. But by whom? Obama certainly fits the profile of other groomed past presidents. There have largely been two kinds of presidents since 1900: The dynasts and the orphans. The dynasts include the Roosevelts, Taft, the Kennedies, and the Bushes. The orphans include Hoover (significantly, see below), Ford, Clinton, and Obama. The rest were selected because they had no hope of forming rival dynasties (Wilson had three daughters for example, Harding had no children). With the exception of Carter as the last throes of the Republic, and the shot-into-submission Reagan, every president since 1973 has been either a dynast or a groomed orphan. I hope I have time to finish writing about that some time soon.

My goodness, I hope you do too. I'm intrigued.

But the Kennedys are only a generation or two removed from impoverished Irish. Hardly a dynasty, especially since they keep getting bumped off.

Tarpley's books, which are more like polemics, on Obama cover this pretty well. You can find them as pdf's.

The onion is fucking brilliant. I'm convinced that someone there knows what the deal is. They can get away with things that wouldn't even come close to being printed in a national publication because it's supposed to be satire:

CIA Awkwardly Debriefs Obama On Creation Of Crack Cocaine

February 26, 2009 | Issue 45•09

WASHINGTON—In his first meeting with President Barack Obama, CIA crime and counternarcotics analyst Timothy R. McIntire haltingly explained to the nation's first African-American commander in chief the highly classified origin of crack cocaine and the resultant epidemic that swept across U.S. inner cities. "Well, you see, sir...thing is, we needed money to help those Contras back in '85, and we never really expected...so we distributed it, and...shortsighted...and, ha, well, Christ—is it hot in here?" McIntire said between exaggerated coughs. "Yikes, okay. See, it was a very tense time—not that that makes it right—and, uh, bottom line is, we're a different agency now."

McIntire went on to disclose several other secret CIA operations, including the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963 and the recruitment, four years earlier, of a Kenyan grad student for a clandestine program at the University of Hawaii.

They're dynastic in the sense that they a powerful clan that claims to be legitimate heir of the Roosevelt hegemony. The Bushes are their rivals, and have been more willing to use force.

I got you.
Carl Ogelsby had a Cowboys vs... I forgot now... theory. I think Cannon even talks about it in one of his posts.

BTW Tarpley has 2 books on Obama, here's one. I never finished. I think he was in a rush with them.

Well the joke is on him because Peter of Lone Tree posts here. At least he used to, until he found better company.

My, what a rambunctious reaction! Well, at least he (thinks he) knows where he stands. But it's his loss if he doesn't even look at comments that are largely friendly and helpful to his notions, or if he assumes it's all about what the monolithic "dolts at RI" think about him.

Joe Cannon against the world, baby! Cannon Fire and Hulk Smash!

Another weird thing that came out in the campaign was Obama's relationship in Hawaii with a mentor named Frank Marshall Davis, a black journalist-poet friend of his grandfather, Stanley Dunham, described warmly in Obama's first book as "Frank," who apparently admitted to writing a 1968 porn novel, allegedly about BO, under a pseudonym:

"Obama's grandfather introduced Barry and Davis because he believed it would help his alienated grandson identify with being of mixed heritage because Barack's mother, Ann, was a white American while his father, Barack Sr.black Kenyan."

Yes, this is the National Enquirer, but as I recall from kerfuffle over it last year, no one ever actually denied the story, just argued that it was a cheap shot, which at the time it probably was. But BO is now safely residing in the White House, so I hope this isn't too tawdry a picture to put up, and if anyone thinks it is, just let me know and I'll delete it.

What?

Postby jlaw172364 » Tue Jun 23, 2009 2:40 am

You mean that Pharoah isn't actually a god, and was in fact groomed by the priest caste to pretend to be one?

We must work assiduously to ensure that the next Pharaoh is appointed directly by the gods!

by the time the grooming is complete, they are not pretending to be chosen

barack believes, grooming or not
the question is why, who, why, what, why, when, why and why again?

Can't say I blame Cannon- much- for having a low opinion of us. Over the course of about 2 years there were several threads here calling him out for bringing the crazy in regards to 911 truth and his bizarre fixation on Hillary Clinton. Some of the criticism was constructive and one wishes he would have taken it in that spirit, but Joe is a contrarian type and took the opportunity to dig in his heels.

He's still being a stubborn idiot because "several threads" or a number of people making fun of him does not cover a whole forum. I didn't see these supposed attacks, and he doesn't know me. So why does he react like a baby to a link to this thread, which has interested comments proceeding from his blog post and no attacks on him (at least, until he starts inspiring them!).

I remember those threads. His complaints were mostly about his how stupid the people were who read his blog and his frequent threats to quit blogging. He pissed Truthers off, mostly I think because he focused on the fringe elements.

I read a few pages of Tarpley's Obama biography, linked to above. While I don't have any knowledge of or opinion about Tarpley's politics, except for some of the clashing opinions expressed hereabouts, stylistically and intellectually his book absolutely reeks of LaRouche, and I would recommend skipping it entirely except as psychotronic entertainment.

Well I quit the book, though I thought it had a lot of leads, because of it's polemic tone. I had enough. I started to read his 9-11 Synthetic Terror but by the time I got around to it it seemed like a rehash of stuff I already knew.

Everybody seems to know more about Larouche than I do, I presume you all have read a lot of his stuff, visited his site and so on? Is it the polemics which reek of Larouche?

I know of a very suspicious murder, I know a little about his youth groups, but when I met some of them a demo they weren't youths, I know the FBI or police raided his place in Virginia, that he's run for president a number of times, been arrested for some kind of fraud, and and I know he's all about the 60's corruption of youth, loves FDR, but that's about it.
