What the devil is that apparatus?

:?

edit: Yeah, helicopter was my idea, but thought it was part of that thing below it ;) Cool... Were just fantasizing about a rc chopper yesterday sitting on a high cliff with a view over maybe 12 km of lower areas..
It has small planes flying over constantly towards the small plane airfield, and large planes taking off and landing about 15 km north from there.

pork loins. [no bones]

mushroom soup. from a can because the last time i tried to make my own "creme of mushroom" i ended up having to buy it in a can in the end anyhow.

also shrooms [various sorts]
peppers ["" ""]
a bit of chopped garlic, carrots and celery, some chives.
various spices. nothing difficult.

i put it together while i was waiting on my breakfast.

ten minutes of work, five hours of baking.

mmmmm.

(second)

Postby OP ED » Tue Jun 30, 2009 6:23 pm

i decided to answer the direct and/or indirect assertions that there is a theme to my posts here.

i eventually came to the conclusion that the best way to do this would be to record my art process and to create something especially for the people at this forum.

next:

the second stage, and a description.

i've described in brief, in other places, my preferred method of "cursing".

the following working, to be given over my next several posts is based on the Thelemite method called "The Sending of Cats".

[see Book 4]

i always start with a brick.

it is a powerful symbol, of itself. And thematically relevant for me.

my continual reuse of this process also makes it clear to my intended target that it is i who is coming for them.

Image

i also paint them primary colors to attract the eye of the target. as a base coat, before they get decorated in whatever witchy style one best prefers. once i'd applied to yellow spray paint, the form which the rest of my process would take became clear to me...

for the deliberate creation of my intended fetish and its designed perpetual effects, i would need more stone, and also some place to work out a final design. hence the cardboard shown previously.

more soon...

Uhmm...

This isn't going to be one of those deals where anyone on the board who's ever pissed you off turns to dust when they get to the last picture, is it?

more stone:

painted to match.

my intended set-up was more complicated than a throw-away project as most of my bricks are.

usually i make symbollic reference to the power of a brick by placing it in such a way as to imply its ability to shatter things. or as an literal obstruction to block the path of the target.

i have something different in mind for this one, and the decision to paint the stone bookend from my closest bookcase, cemented this notion and revealed that this particular brick had a different ultimate destiny.

not intentionally.

...

the brick is symbollic of both destructive and constructive potentials. in this working it will be architected to tend towards the latter.

perhaps i should've clarified the meanings of my terms. I could've said "spelling" instead of "cursing".

once the undercoat is done, and you've picked a theme, mine rather being chosen by coincidence and temperment for me, it comes time to decorate the stone. This is important as it loses its value as a meme carrier if it does not attract attention or better even, fascination.

fortunately, the writing on this particular firebrick was vague and actually close enough to being thematically relevant that not only did i not deliberately obscure it, rather i could actually make use of it.

no need for the red faced emoticon, Romany.

i got your meaning, but it did demonstrate to me again the importance of making communications crystal clear.

my scheme now chosen so as to better illustrate the theme i am attempting to elaborate upon, i now applied a test pattern to the first stone, to see something not unlike what it would appear as when i had finished.

Image

deciding i liked this scheme, and resolving to add more color before a final application, i stopped for a brief celebratory libation.

here's to symmetry.
