Edit: ahh...did some catching up.

It's me being a jerk on account of what I consider an overt inconsistency, regarding a widely-accepted theory here, in a statement elsewhere that strongly implies accusation. IOW, I saw someone enacting the tired privileged victim-->oppressor game, for which I have little tolerance; that massive gaming occurs here occasionally only shortens my tolerance. And frankly, if someone can only hold his or her neuroses that lead down that path in check for so long, then I can only be expected to have limited ability to do so myself. Nobody gets to throw low blows that the ref doesn't see and then cry foul when one lands on him.

I admit that I lack enough information or context and that my response was impatient and largely predicated on my own history and general mean-spritedness.

I would have done better to have said at least the first part earlier, elsewhere, while it was still relevant, rather than react aggressively.

Thank you for showing me who you are, the last few posters in this thread. I shan't forget.

My "trigger" image was meant simply as a comment upon and reference to the discussions which have been occuring on the trolling thread. It was not meant in any way as a personal attack, a judgement of those conversations, or an insult based on resentment. I must say, I find it hard to see how it could have been perceived as such. I view this thread as a conversation of sorts with OP ED, and my image was meant as more of a playful chastisement of him than anything else.

I can't tell you, Project Willow, how much I respect your voice and the information you bring to the forum. If I've offended you, or you feel I've in some way demeaned the issue of survivorship here with that picture, I apologize, and I'll happily take it down. It means nothing of importance to me beyond mere commentary, certainly nothing worth upsetting you or any of the other posters who take issue with the images in this thread.

I have posted some pretty intense images on this thread, mostly drawn from my love of the symbolist painters of late 1800's/early 1900's. These pictures are, to my mind, only tangentally related to any perceived content elsewhere on the forum regarding ritual abuse or survivors of such. My interest in the weird, the bizarre and the outré is part of what attracted me to Jeff's blog in the first place.

Whatever your impression may be, I don't take the subject lightly, and have no interest in dismissing your understandable reaction to some of the imagery. On the other hand, I can't claim to have any idea how you manage to deal with the background wallpaper here, filled as it is with satanic images, or with Jeff's blog, which can be, even to me, highly unsettling.

I hope this resolves some of your hard feelings here. If it doesn't, would you please tell me?

'Cuda, in all honesty, I saw that trigger image as making fun of me, threatening, cold and phallic on top of that. Kinda like "Take this trigger and ..." you know. So, yeah, maybe I shouldn't be interacting on the board if I can't "keep my neurosis", flashbacks, associations with trauma experiences, in check.

I've inured myself to the wallpaper. The guy with his shirt off looks a lot like my dad, who should be in prison.

Nathan, ... ?

That's all I wish to say in Op Ed's thread, as he made it clear, even going so far as to refer to himself in the third person, he didn't want it to go down this road.

OP ED refers to himself in the third person for emphasis on occassion.

habit of royalty.

you're welcome in my threads anytime you wish, my dear, however i should emphasize that i am not always good at knowing where the lines lay and/or avoiding crossing them. Disobedience is first nature to me.

i have many interests in religious areas. I have posted content and imagery from 142 religions/myths/folktales from my list so far.

[14 to go]

As it is, the fencing of this thread should help us both, in our mutual concerns for not upsetting people unintentionally and in my own concern of drawing as much attention to myself as possible. in the second case this warning, i'd imagine, will be like having a Parental Advisory sticker on my thread. the rate of views has already increased.

btw, did you take my poll or is it still active?

...

in other news:

WARNING: softcore semi-bestiality pictures in advance of my discussion with AD are imminent...

SHINE, PERISHING REPUBLIC

Robinson Jeffers

While this America settles in the mould of its vulgarity, heavily thickening
to empire
And protest, only a bubble in the molten mass, pops and sighs out, and the
mass hardens,
I sadly smiling remember that the flower fades to make fruit, the fruit rots
to make earth.
Out of the mother; and through the spring exultances, ripeness and decadence;
and home to the mother.
You making haste haste on decay: not blameworthy; life is good, be it stubbornly
long or suddenly
A mortal splendor: meteors are not needed less than mountains:
shine, perishing republic.
But for my children, I would have them keep their distance from the thickening
center; corruption
Never has been compulsory, when the cities lie at the monster's feet there
are left the mountains.
And boys, be in nothing so moderate as in love of man, a clever servant,
insufferable master.
There is the trap that catches noblest spirits, that caught – they say –
God, when he walked on earth.

...it's a terrible mistranslation apparently, I didn't know that at the time. There were no lathes in China at the time that that was said. Joseph Needham wrote me and said "It's a lovely translation, but it's wrong".
