The Plots Thicken

Postby LibertyorDeath » Thu Sep 15, 2005 5:02 am

by Al Martin

The Plots Thicken: David Margolis, Michael Chertoff
(Of the Devil) & General Kevin Byrnes

Snip

on August 9, Homeland Security
Secretary Michael Chertoff said that if the military
were deployed inside the United States in response to
a terrorist attack, his department, not the Pentagon,
would exercise overall control, reports the Los
Angeles Times.

“The Department of Homeland Security has the
responsibility under the President’s directives to
coordinate the entirety of the response to a terrorist
act here in the United States. And, responding to news
reports, the Pentagon has drawn up plans for military
action… It ranges from scenarios of crowd control to
dealing with radiological or biological attacks.”

So what does civilian control of the Pentagon
mean?

Chertoff, whose name means ‘of the devil’ in
Russian, is attempting to further circumvent Posse
Comitatus. He is trying to gain control of law
enforcement to ensure that the Department of Homeland
Security, which will include the Office of Internal
Security, the Office of Political Security, and other
agencies to be created after Posse Comitatus is
overturned, will have a civilian mechanism to control
a militarized law enforcement because they don’t want
the military to control it.

This is what’s going to happen when Posse
Comitatus is overturned. They still want civilian
control, and you notice where that control lies.

Control lies in these skeleton organizations
that would become fully effective upon the overturning
of Posse Comitatus.

The reason this is being done is because they
don’t trust the military. They want to have the
ability to politicize law enforcement, to use a
post-Posse Comitatus, militarized, domestic law
enforcement for political purposes.

This, in essence, will be a federal militarized
police, and they want the ability to use it for
political purposes. That’s why they want the control
of a militarized police to remain, not simply in
civilian hands, but to be in the hands of former
Bushonian cabalists, like Porter Goss, current head of
the CIA and John Negroponte, head of the new National
Intelligence Directorate. These are people who have
run illegal covert operations during Bushonian regimes
in the past, who acted to cover up Bushonian
involvement, and who also selected and went after
those who knew too much.

This new scheme of civilian Homeland Security
control of the military is very similar to the Gestapo
during Nazi Germany. Actually, the Gestapo remained a
civilian-controlled police agency, and it was under a
lot of people’s control. Ultimately, it was under
Heinrich Himmler’s control, but command of the Gestapo
was broken up. Effectively, in whatever country it
operated, it was under the command of the German
military governor of that country, like Heidrich, the
most infamous of the Gestapo chieftains.

What the Hitler regime wanted was to be able to
militarize law enforcement but not have it under the
direct control of the military because Hitler didn’t
trust the military. He wanted a police force with
military powers that could be used for political
purposes to squash all dissent, to ferret out those
who knew too much and eliminate them, to suborn,
misdirect, to harass, to intimidate, and to spread
fear of all those who had criticized the State.

This is what Chertoff effectively is now going
to be doing with our law enforcement: to allow for the
militarization of law enforcement through the
overturning of Posse Comitatus, but to insure that the
military doesn’t control it, and that it remains under
political control within the Cabal so it can be used
for political purposes.

The recent dismissal of the four-star general
sent a signal. General Kevin Byrnes was a four-star
general who was the head of TRADOC (Training and
Doctrine Command) in Hampton, Virginia.

This never been done. A four-star general has
never been dismissed from the service since the rank
was created. Furthermore, the dismissal of a four-star
general should have instigated Congressional hearings.

The Defense Oversight Committee is charged with
investigating the dismissal of ranking officers. For
example, when both Richard Secord and Jack Singlaub
were dismissed from the service by President Carter,
there were Congressional hearings held.

Now, for a four-star general to be dismissed
without any call by the opposition, (in this case, the
Democrats) for Congressional hearings and without the
Department of Defense providing a reasonable
explanation is unheard of.

However, this is what you have to look at: What
was this guy in charge of? He was in charge of
training forces that would ultimately be used for the
purposes of suppressing domestic political dissent,
and for the use of indoctrination.

If the conspiracy theorists’ most recent notion
were true, that some sort of a coup d’etat was
potentially brewing within the upper echelons of our
military ranks, General Byrnes would be the kind of
guy that would be necessary to be part of said
conspirators. These are people that are specifically
trained to seize government buildings, people that are
trained in the ability of what’s called,
seize-and-hold, sap-and-suborn government buildings
that could hold so-called hostile Congressmen and
Senators, discreetly.

According to published reports, Byrnes has had
‘previous run-in’s’ with Donald Rumsfeld and Steven
Cambone, when he was just a Lieutenant General over
troop strength cuts. Then Army Secretary Thomas White,
who was a former director of Enron, intervened on his
behalf, and he received his fourth star. Then White
was later fired by the Pentagon Neocons.

The troops that Byrnes was training would be
those troops that would be used to maintain order and
power in the event that the Bush regime exercised its
Patriot Act powers to cancel all further elections and
simply remain in office and rule by fiat.

After Posse Comitatus, NORTHCOM will become a
fully funded agency. NORTHCOM, of course, stands for
Northern Command, located in Philadelphia. It would
become a fifth service branch. A four-star general
would head it, who would join the Joint Chiefs as a
fifth service chief. This new fifth service branch
would be the domestic militarized law enforcement.

To get back to Chertoff’s statement, it would be
under his command.

And here’s the risk. You’ve got to understand it
from their point of view. The risk is that, when you
overturn Posse Comitatus, you have then given the
military sweeping powers to control law enforcement.

The Cabal knows that there are many senior
officers in the military who are not members of the
Cabal and, in fact, are hostile to the Cabal’s intent,
particularly in the senior officer rank. That’s why
they’re now making a push to retire a lot of the old
generals and admirals. There are many in the military
that would see a Bushonian regime in a post-Patriot
Act III environment with a militarized law enforcement
as a threat to democracy in the nation.

And they would actually do their duty and oppose
it. They would do their duty as they saw fit, which
would be to potentially overthrow such a regime. This
is a threat of a coup against then.

This time next year, we will be in a fully
enacted Patriot II and a fully enacted Patriot III
environment. And the people will feel further pain
from Bushonomics, dissent in the country, which is
already at the highest levels it has been since the
Great Depression. Civil unrest and dissent will
continue to grow. And there are some in the military,
who are genuinely naive flag wavers within the senior
ranks that will see the Bushonian regime by this time
next year as a threat to the democracy of the people.

That’s why Chertoff wants to ensure that, in a
post-Posse Comitatus environment, the Cabal can still
control the most elite domestic units, which are
intelligence-oriented, within the military. So the
chain of command would be clear to everyone.

And the message would be sent in the dismissal
of General Byrnes. The Cabal has sent a message that
we are very much in charge, that what we intend to do
will happen, that all of those who, like Byrnes, will
now retire.

Byrnes was dismissed as a warning to all senior
officers.

The Bushonian Cabal simply wants to weed out all
senior commanders who would be potentially opposed to
the Regime and those who would not consent to the
Regime, using their lawful powers under Patriot I, to
cancel all future elections and simply rule by fiat.

* AL MARTIN is an independent economic-political
analyst with 25 years of experience as a trader on
NYMEX, CME, CBOT and CFTC. Chertoff BIO

Postby Nonny » Thu Sep 15, 2005 10:36 am

Michael Chertoff

Michael Chertoff was nominated by President George W. Bush to the post of secretary of the Department of Homeland Security on January 11, 2005. He was confirmed by the U.S. Senate by a unanimous 98-0 vote on February 15.
Chertoff was born on November 28, 1953 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The son of a rabbi, he attended the private Pringy School in Elizabeth before entering Harvard University in 1971. He graduated magna cum laude in 1975 and earned his law degree from Harvard in 1978, again graduating magna cum laude. He served as a clerk for Appellate Judge Murray Gurfein and then for U.S. Supreme Court justice William Brennan. He was admitted to the bar in the District of Columbia in 1980 and joined the law firm of Latham & Watkins.

In 1983, Chertoff was hired by the U.S. attorney's office in New York City and soon began working on an organized-crime investigation with then-U.S. attorney and future New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani. When Giuliani left that investigation to prosecute a case involving corruption in city government, Chertoff became lead prosecutor in the trials of several organized crime bosses. With successful convictions of the leaders of the Genovese, Colombo, and Lucchese crime families, Chertoff earned his reputation as a talented trial lawyer.

He next became an assistant prosecutor for the state of New Jersey in 1987 and, after serving as interim U.S. attorney for the state, was named by President George Bush to the position permanently in 1990. Chertoff remained in the position with the inauguration of President Bill Clinton in 1993, the only U.S. attorney that was not replaced with the beginning of the new Democratic administration. He stayed at the post until 1994, when he returned to the firm of Latham & Watkins as a partner.

Beginning in 1994, Chertoff was special counsel to the committee investigating Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton in what became known as the Whitewater scandal. In 2000, Chertoff investigated racial profiling as special counsel to New Jersey's state Senate Judiciary Committee. During the presidential campaign that year, he advised candidate George W. Bush on criminal justice issues. Beginning in 2001, Chertoff served in the Bush administration as assistant attorney general in the criminal division of the Justice Department. During his tenure at the department, he led prosecutions against suspected terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui, "American Taliban" John Walker Lindh, and the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen, which was convicted of destroying documents related to the collapse of the Enron Corporation.

It was during Chertoff's time with the Justice Department that the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks happened; he was one of the first law officials to advocate treating terrorist suspects as "material witnesses" and detaining them without charging them with a crime. He was also one of the chief architects of the USA Patriot Act (2001). He responded to the charges of civil liberties advocates that the detainees were being treated unfairly by telling a 2002 meeting of the American Bar Association that "we are at war."

In 2003, Bush nominated Chertoff to the post of judge for the Third Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. It was during his confirmation to that post that now-senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) cast the only dissenting vote against him, explaining that she was protesting the way White House staffers had been treated during the Whitewater investigation. Chertoff served as appellate judge until his confirmation as secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

Chertoff has often been criticized for some of the hard-line positions he has taken. He is opposed to allowing judges discretion in the imposition of sentences and has argued that there is no constitutional right for a defendant to be free of coercive questioning by police. His supporters, however, believe that he is well suited to serve in protecting the nation's homeland security. They point out that he has been concerned with the threat of terrorism since long before September 11, 2001. In 1996, he argued in "Tools Against Terrorism," an article in the New Jersey Law Journal, that officials need leeway in the prosecution of suspected terrorists, even if it means limiting some civil liberties.

Even critics who oppose Chertoff's aggressive antiterrorist tactics respect his integrity. In a 2003 article for The Weekly Standard, Chertoff questioned the Bush administration's policy of holding "enemy combatants" indefinitely without being charged with a crime. In a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee advocating that immigration officials—rather than the Federal Bureau of Investigation—have greater authority over terrorist suspects, he wrote, "The purpose of detention is not punitive, but is designed to serve the interests of security and discipline within facilities." He said the government "should continue to enforce the message to corrections personnel that . . . detainees are not being held for punishment and should be treated with appropriate respect and restraint."

In assuming leadership of the Department of Homeland Security, Chertoff has given up a lifetime appointment to the position of appellate judge on the Third Circuit. He faces the daunting task of overseeing some 22 separate agencies and over 170,000 employees. While Chertoff was sworn into the post of Homeland Security secretary immediately after his confirmation on February 15, he was formally sworn in by Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor in a public ceremony attended by Bush on March 3.

Chertoff and his wife, Meryl, have two children.

© 2005 ABC-CLIO. Can we do polls on this site? I'm curious about people's response to this scenario. I keep seeing such "chatter" of a brewing military coup. So far, every time I see it, the perspective is that the military is, or will be, the good guys and will act to remove the Bush cabal. This Martin article seems similar...though not really blatantly so.

So if a faction of the military does remove Bush from office and take over, given that our military rarely leaves a country in better shape than it was before, who would you root for?

1. Bush and company...because they are true Americans. (Why are you on this forum?)

2. Bush and Company, whom I hate, but the idea of military takeovers and military control of the country is not one that makes me happy.

3. The military guys, as long as they promise to return civilian control as soon as possible.

4. The military guys because democracy is weak and we need leaders who can get things done.

5. Neither, because the whole thing stinks of a staged affair meant to "soften up" our opinion about military rule and martial law.

6. Neither, simply because neither side has shown themselves to have any moral authority.

7. Why the f*&k ar you trying to get me to commit to one side or another? Don't you know they can trace me by my ISP and send me off to a "church camp" somewhere?

Sorry I don't know how to make an actual poll...but food for thought.

Edited by: Dreams End at: 9/15/05 9:44 am

Able Danger

I wonder if all this Able Danger talk is the military's way of laying the groundwork for further action against the administration.

news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050..._hijackers

Quote:
Weldon: Atta Papers Destroyed on Orders

By DONNA DE LA CRUZ, Associated Press Writer 2 hours, 17 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - A
Pentagon employee was ordered to destroy documents that identified Mohamed Atta as a terrorist two years before the 2001 attacks, a congressman said Thursday.

The employee is prepared to testify next week before the Senate Judiciary Committee and was expected to identify the person who ordered him to destroy the large volume of documents, said Rep.
