I wouldn't count that as pornography, no. If anything it's money porn - designed to promote a lust for goods and services rather than... um... services.

I once got off to a Star Wars figure - Princess Leiai, of course, not Darth Vader or Jabba the Hutt or anything... or Luke! Hehe, should've been Han Solo, come to think of it!

She was the only attractive female in the original Star Wars pantheon, so far as I can recall. I was very young - and, religiously, I had no problems with idolatry or the worship of graven images. I considered it acceptable, and still do.

Hell, at that age it was more or less mandatory.

Yeah, if you're of a certain age, there was Brooke Shields, Nadia Comaneci, it was pretty easy to find source material ....

Princess Leia never did it for me tho. :)

I can't imagine being that age, now, with the internet????

Funny that, I got my first hard-on at the sight of a topless roman slave in a modelling magazine, that's figurine, not figure, modelling and it was a line drawing less than an inch high. But oh, the fantasies it inspired..

Soon after that I found my dad's stash, a couple of tatty old Mayfairs and a Club International and the world was my oyster, or clam, or something..

To address the thread title though, which I know is rare for me, but don't even scientists understand that there'll always be some men stupid enough to consider ALL porn sinful.

Perhaps we should have a "First Orgasm" thread, or a "What are you having an orgasm to right now" thread.

I remember it well. This picture, completely involuntary, seen in a TV Guide magazine, which may explain some of my fondness for the manatee.

TMI, probably. But always happy to contribute.

That could be a fun thread, at least for us guys, or maybe even for the women as well???

Maybe for the lounge.

Of course what we really want to do is dig up all the old photos that used to turn us on, now that they're all on the internet. :)

And share, of course!

It's funny, one of my most intense youthful hypnotic "I guess I'm not gay" moments was watching, I believe, that same movie, 1 million years B.C. with Raquel Welch, and there was a scene where she was running from someone, at night, and she climbed up a tree to hide. While they were searching for her, down below, and she was trying to remain motionless and silent in the tree, a giant snake crawled down near body and around her thigh and slithered its way all up and down her legs and torso. Holy shit it was beautiful. I just tried to find it on youtube but couldn't. Anyone remember that scene? I was probably 9 or 10.

I'm having the weirdest Raquel Welch synchronicity. First, this thread and the photo. Then, I take my son to a restaurant for lunch yesterday and on the MENU is that same damn picture! On the menu!

Then today I take my son into the library and we get on the elevator and there's a current photo of Raquel Welch staring me in the face -- a poster announcing that she's going to be AT the library Monday night, giving some kind of talk. Yes, in person.

I think the universe is trying to tell me something ....... Monday night. Santa Monica public library. 7pm.

Should I go?

You must go. The Priestess of the Whip is obviously calling you. If you have never seen The Magic Christian you must.

This kind of sums up the whole problem, in a way, 'cos she never did it for me either. I mean is, I wasn't actually attracted in any way to princess Leia - her sparkling personality as written by George Lucas, and her exotic attire as modelled by a mould in Taiwan never even came into the equation. She was just the only representation of the female form in my house that wasn't either my mother or the Mother of Christ.

So it was a kind of make-do-and-mend thing.

At no point did I think about Princess Leia's, or Carrie Fisher's, feelings on the matter. And that's the problem. Kind of.

Me either. It breaks my mind, and worries me. We all used to go on day long expeditions, up the woods and the quarry, and mining through hedgerows, looking for scraps of magazines that older guys might've thrown away - on PornQuests, basically - finding plenty of pornographic mags, but also plenty that weren't, which often turned out to be just as useful.

Christ, looking back on it, we must've just been starving.

What worries me is that, nowadays, if I had internet access and was the same as I was back then, I would've probably pulled down the whole temple by now. Not a stone would stand upon a stone. There would be literally nothing I wouldn't've seen - and for a lot of my youngers, that seems to be the case.

Like Gore Vidal said (I think): "The only desire pornography can awaken in you is the desire to see more pornography." But that can be a prettyruinous desire.

Yeah. That never happens. If it did, we'd all have 'em. Hell, we'd all be like Bluto. Even the girls.

You approve of slavery?!?

Well... to be honest, Princess Leia was actually one of my later conquests too (12-13). My first sexual feelings, so far as I remember them, were for Dogtanian. Aye, this guy:

Gonna tell me I was wrong, are ye's? I was fucking starving!

And, Orz, btw, Dogtanian is kind of baldy - so I am not now, nor have I ever been, a member of the furry community.

Time for bed. I think my vote can be safely put in the Yes column now.

Dogtanian?

Okay, I may have to change my mind as to whether or not this would be a fun thread. :)

I dunno, Nordic - the chick in Dogtanian is kinda hot, in a sultry, doggish way.

Not exactly porn, though.

Sorry about that. I haven't been so ashamed since the last time I posted something equally embarassing.

I bet it's not that unusual, though. If you have ever read Nancy Friday's "Men In Love" - and if you can take it at face value as a study of anonymous (and therefore honest, as they presumed in that pre-internet age) male sexual fantasies - it seems there were a surprising number of men from the generation before mine, and even the generation before theirs, who admitted to feeling their first concious sexual attraction ( without quite knowing what it was ) to cartoon characters. Especially male ones - like Bugs Bunny, and even Donald Duck. At a very young age, too.

It's the kind of phenomenon I would expect Hugh Manatee to take an interest in, with his loathing of Disney and it's ilk, and his belief in their use of children's entertainment as a tool of enslavement and control. What better way for them to put the hooks in? Perhaps he's already mentioned that side of things - but I don't really blame him if he doesn't think it's worthy of study. It's probably not. Nancy Friday's books have always been fine by me, but I never really read them for information or edification, or believed that half of the accounts supposedly sent in by men were genuine.

I only read them for entertainment and reassurance. Plus the obvious. I bet she still ranks high on those public library perv's favourites' lists.

Anyways, I'm sure my early attraction to a male cartoon dog wasn't all that unusual. And I'll keep telling myself that forever, if need be.

Juliet is definitely Dogtanian's love interest - but over time, as he grows, it becomes apparent that Milady, the Countess De Winter (who is a manipulative cat, an assassin and seducer, and a mercenary for Richelieu) is the one who holds the real attraction for Dogtanian, even if he can't admit it to himself. She's the one he chases all over France, giving up both sleep and food in the pursuit, even if it's with the stated intention of bringing her to justice...

Dear God. I had a life once. Who'd believe it now?
