Reminds me of Maria Sharapova, smiths, who had a bit of an impact on my mental life too, at a certain (later) age. Sure that's not her, though. She wore panties while playing. I'm absolutely certain of that. Never been more certain of anything, in fact.

Wasn't that a kind of everywhere image/picture in the 80s, though, like that picture of the muscly guy holding a baby, and that Spanish woman with the green face and gold jewellery? Not meaning to denigrate your memories here. Can't really pass judgement on anybody's at this point. :D But if that is the picture I'm thinking of, I remember seeing it everywhere in those days. Don't remember it being quite so full-on, though. Had always thought it just gave a bare hint of flesh rather than "the whole of the moon." I must be thinking of a different pic.

EDITTED to include smiths' post, because otherwise this seemed like a very strange reply. It might still, but there's nothing to be done about that.

Especially male ones - like Bugs Bunny, and even Donald Duck. At a very young age, too.

You should read what Bob Crumb has to say about that. He was sexually fixated on Bugs Bunny.

Personally, I was mesmerised by the young centaur girls in Fantasia. I know, Disney is evil. But phwooar those centaurettes.

They flirt and are courted by husky centaurs under Cupid's spell during an idyllic afternoon. Winged cupids assist the courting of one lonely centaur with his dream centaurette. The cupid's bottom turns into a heart shape before a fade to black.

But honest, I'm not a furry either! Oh God, I'm going to get Sepka hitting on me now!

The vid is not available in my country due to copyright restrictions, smiths. No worries, though - I know about the IT Crowd. Never really watched it, but it's a Linehan and Matthews show, so that kind of detail should be taken for granted. It's no Father Ted, though. That was the best.

Was the boss played by Chris Morris? That would make the attention to retro-loving detail even more pertinent. In a way.

You've reminded me that I've seen "Crumb." I'm still too terrified by the memory of seeing his brother's petrifying, life-destroying, unbreakable fixation on Peter Pan to even think about the lighter side of it. Jesus, it's terrifing. Thanks a lot for reminding me! Bob Crumb's mild and semi-comic psycho-sexual derangements seem like light relief by comparison...

When you see his brother's self-insertion fan fiction comics about Peter Pan, as they get more and more visually elaborate (beautifully, at first, like Gothic manuscripts) until the endlessly looping and spiralling ink starts to fill and darken every part of the comic book panels, until it's just Peter Pan moving, or seeming to move, against the darkness, and not talking anymore, and then not even moving anymore... and these comics drawn over decades... until it's just pictures of a silent boy, surrounded by darkness, drawn over and over and over again by a man who never grew up...

That documentary horrified me. More than the ones that should.

Yeah, sorry man, but you're a furry right enough. I've seen many cases, and I'm afraid yours is incurable. Might as well embrace it now.

I remember this image, from when I was probably 3 or 4. Everybody seemed to own this album, my parents, my parents' friends .....

I remember just staring at it ..... thinking she was so beautiful and really wanting to see what was under the whipped cream.

I guess there was never any doubt as to my sexuality.

The Mark Eden bust developer ads in the back of my Mom's McCall's magazines. I became fixated on the B & W photos of pretty women with great big breasts, lotsa cleavage. And going to the barber shop was PLAYBOY.

Agent 99 was the one I wanted to marry, though.

Speaking of legs, I have to say I worked with Maria Sharapova on a commercial back when she was hitting the scene. I hadn't heard of her yet, and she hadn't won Wimbledon yet. We did a spot for Japan, and she was, I believe, 16 years old. She was one of the most stunning young women I've ever seen, and had what were quite possibly the nicest legs I've ever seen. But 16! We were not allowed to take photographs. She's also extremely tall, probably 6'1 or so.

I figured she was just some gorgeous young tennis player who probably wasn't very good, like that one a while back, can't remember her name, the other blond. Then she started serving balls into this round net that caught them, and holy shit she was powerful and accurate. Scary how hard she could hit a tennis ball!

She reminded me of a thoroughbred race horse, the stature, the muscle tone, the strength.

I couldn't allow myself any lustful feelings for a 16 year old, but I'll be damned if she wasn't one of the most amazing-looking young women I've ever seen.

Agent 99! Oh yeah, me, too!

And Catwoman.

Okay, backing away from the thread now ...... backing away .....

I'm searching the 'rounds' in this image for flaws. I will notify headquarters when and if it is possible to find them.

That was who I was thinking of too. Sorry for throwing Sharapova's name into the mix - it was Kournikova I meant.

Nordic could easily have worked with Sharapova, though. He's a grown-up.

All great athletes are terrifying. Especially to me. Imagine pursuing the same goal relentlessly and passionately for up to eight hours a day, without any real mental rest, for twenty years. And all because you believed there would be some kind of worthwhile reward, either in money or in kind or in personal satisfaction, at the end of it.

And then at the end of it you're just that blonde that wasn't as good as the other one.
