Hey, who do you think is a troll round here today? Come on, spit it out.

I'd like to know. I hate it when folk start making insinuations of that kind.

I don't think my posts are trollish at all.

You see, you are starting off my paranoia all over again. Now I think you are calling me a troll. Please clear up this potential misunderstanding immediately. Do you think I'm a troll?

Perhaps this underscores why we need good moderation.

Or perhaps it just underscores why I should learn to ignore wintler2.

I think this is on-topic since we are talking about moderation.

I'll ask you again wintler2. Do you want me to leave these forums?

Troll has become an all-purpose word by many here to label anything they don't like. It's a juvenile and banal epitaph now, here. But don't take my word for it. Search troll on this board and see the pattern for yourself if you wish. You are no more a troll than barracuda is a DEA agent. Pay no attention to the babyish, whining troll callers.

My .02...

Since North Am and it's time zones are covered ably by Jeff and the Fish, I'd recommend somebody from the other side of the pond. Preferably female in an effort to seek a semblance of balance.

Why not add two?

BTW -I think J. Hillshoist would make a great Mod.

So, page 4 already, and still no one has nominated me?

I'm not sure about Hugh at all. It's a bit of a crazy idea.

It's entirely up to Jeff though, and then he's got to find someone crazy enough to do it!

Cheers.

I was actually gonna offer, but I don't want to cos for the next few months I'm not sure whether I'll be able to stop by at all, let alone keep an eye on everything. I've hardly been here lately, (even when I come here sometimes I end up not looking at the place cos something comes up,) and am still catching up, (and finding out people have left, and some I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to.)

I dunno if I can commit the time and effort right now. There are 5 or 6 things out here that I have committed to at the moment, and they take my time. The only reason I have been here a bit lately is that I need a break. But I'm getting behind with everything because of it. And its really not fair if I say yes then don't even come here for the next 4 weeks.

I'll have the time from late winter (August) tho.

If thats any help.

I nominate §ê¢rꆧ, not only because he's nice to me, but because he has a genuine interest in the RI community, is sincere and acts in a mature way.

And he's handsome, smart and creative, and he knows his computers, he does. Also, his experience as a bouncer/security guard may serve him well.

(ðh ¥êåh, åñÐ hï§ ñåmê lððk§ ¢ððl.)

MacCruiskeen would be a kick, so long as he doesn't intend to purge the board of those who (gasp) voted for Obama. I love you, Mac. Can you ever forgive me?

And I don't care what the others say, I appreciate Barracuda taking on the role of moderator, not only because of his blinding intellectual brilliance and talents, but for his willingness to step in shit.

All the best to you, Sunny, and thank you for your time and devotion.

Good luck.

Well, thank you for the vote of confidence, Username. I actually was considering throwing my name into the hat, I've been here a while and usually read (or at least skim) almost everything when I can find the time (which is usually). And I do care for all of you and really enjoy being a part of RI.

It's been a really tough week for me, though. I've been sick with the flu and having to work on top of it, so I haven't had much time lately for anything. If a better candidate is not found I am open to volunteering. It seems to be mostly hands-off and report to Jeff if something is amiss, from what I can gather anyhow... I can do that :)

Yeah, I think barracuda is doing a great job as mod too. Joe H. would get my vote, or even, YOU Username. It might be good to have some feminine energy moderating... HMW? I don't think so... he doesn't respect or care for anything outside of his main focus.

Thanks, Username, but I just want to emphasise that I was joking (just in case anyone was in any doubt). I don't think I'd make an ideal moderator, and in any case I don't have the time right now.

No urgency, so no decision yet. A lot of great contenders, though.

But I will say, for transparency's sake, that both barracuda and I believe the female voices of RI need representation on the mod roster.
