It does matter as you know very well in this context just the same as it would if he were a radical Islamic fundamentalist.

Regarding Odigo - the message could have been sent by whoever. So, isn't it conceivable that the CIA, al-Qaida or whoever else sent that message to get the "Jewish conspiracy" meme rolling?

CIA trying to blame the Jws: yes, they've done that before (Iran-Contra, for instance). It's a time-tested strategy.

I need to tell you, you're on pretty thin ice if you wish to continue posting on this board.

You've provided numerous examples over a number of threads that you have a "Jewish problem."

Please clarify these remarks:

You say you believe Qutb is Jewish, and it matters "in this context just the same as it would if he were a radical Islamic fundamentalist."

Why isn't equivalent to whether he were, rather, a Muslim?

Original provocative remarks removed to show a modicum of goodwill. They have been read.

It's interesting to be called a nazi by the American left when I regard Bill Clinton (for example) as an extreme virulent right wing thug, much worse than Tony Blair.

The anti-semitic stuff too, coming as it does from the utterly phony ,fear driven political correctness that has paralysed political dialgue in America. It has a corporate sheen on it, no doubt driven by fear of litigation.

Particularly in respect of the cascade of espionage allegations against Jewish individuals and organisations in recent times. To call someone anti-semitic may work as a tactic to those in fear of moral retribution, I don't care (at least online where I can hide behind anonymity).

My observation is that the only credible opposition in the USA comes from the libertarian right and those on the left (on DU and elsewhere) that have embraced their conspiracy theories.

Edited by: eric144 at: 11/14/05 11:57 am

Anti-semitism can be a hollow charge played as a card to stifle discussion. Daniel Pipes does that well. Yet there is such a thing, and it's ugly and ancient and a millstone slung about the necks of those of us trying to make a study of the confluence of invisible powers.

I don't give a damn about political correctness, I just want to be correct.

Yes, but I was called a nazi and anti-semitic several times, including the display of a very nasty nazi picture. You didn't say a single word about that.

No doubt because political correctness is a weapon of the educated left. It's interesting that (here in Britain also), it's most often used against the working classes who have to live in a very different reality. That includes having to fight for jobs against immigrants and having their wages reduced by those willing to work for less.

I saw politically correct phd's quickly descend into racism when an Indian was appointed above them. That included questioning the Indian education system even though his phd was from the UK !

I defended him, no one else did.
