Thank YOU Jeff

I would hope after all the months I've been posting here, you would know that I don't normally go around calling others disinfo. But when a story like Prof. Jones' gets into the mainstream, which is a grand slam for the 9-11 truth movement, and someone crawls out of the woodwork to trivialize it, I take offence. But like I said, I'll end it here.

Grand slam

"Prof. Jones' gets into the mainstream, which is a grand slam for the 9-11 truth movement"

I've been trying to explain that I just don't see that. So he made it to a local TV station, but since he's no expert in the field and brings no new argments to the table, the whole thing just looks like a setup to ridicule the entire 9/11 debate, most likely on the very same station.

My point is that CD is NOT the offical story's Achilles heel, but a very cleverly placed wedge to obfuscate the real questions we should be asking. No doubt Prof. Jones means well, but the cynic in me says he's just being used.

Ostracising the firemen.........

Postby Byrne » Fri Nov 18, 2005 10:52 am

Regarding quotes by firefighters & how they have been sidelined/ignored.... Anyone know more about the background to William Langewiesche, & his book America Ground: Unbuilding the World Trade Center?

From a quick search, what I can gather is that Langewiesche (who has been described both as an 'invited WTC site reporter' & as a 'literary provocateur') accused firefighters of looting the WTC site .
Quote:
Langewiesche describes a fire engine found crushed under the ruins that showed evidence of looting. In his account -- which he did not witness but says is meant to illustrate how fed up construction workers were with the lionization of the firefighters -- the engine is found to be "filled with dozens of new pairs of jeans from The Gap, a Trade Center store." When an unnamed fire chief at the scene contends that the jeans must have been blown into the truck by the collapse, a group of construction workers breaks into jeers.

Tarpley discusses this in his book Synthetic Terror:
Quote:

The firemen, we must remember, were those who knew most about the controlled demolition of the World Trade Center, and they were also the group most likely to tell what they knew. In this sense, the firemen posed perhaps the greatest immediate threat to the 9/11 myth upon which the oligarchy had staked so much. The obvious campaign of psychological warfare against the firemen, therefore, was of worldhistorical importance. Given the stakes, it would be impossible to exclude that the dungaree [Gap Jeans] incident which Langewiesche found so delightful had been cynically staged as a means of keeping the angry and rebellious firemen off-balance, distracted and confused.

This appears to be what happened, & I can see why such a tactic would have been used.

Some background info is _here_

Okay, now I'm rolling my eyes ....

Postby maggrwaggr » Fri Nov 18, 2005 3:54 pm

Listen, I'm way on the side of MIHOP.

But this is just silly. You really think that firemen wouldn't loot?

It's human nature to loot. Remember that movie Catch 22? Where the nice older guy finds the kid's toy in the rubble and sticks it in his pocket? And the Nazis kill him for looting?

People are gatherers by nature. If they find something sitting around that they can use, give to their friends/familys, or even sell, they're gonna do it.
