Watch out...

This will be the warning of the 'Terror' attacks on the US that will sanction the US response to the 'Iran' issue.
Quote:
"I would also like to say that the war against America and its allies will not be confined to Iraq,"

Watch the compliant media make a meal out of this.....

Interesting that they always use 'tape' ...rather than sending a CDR, or inviting al jazera to subscribe to the bin laden itunes podcast!

Maybe the next one will be on a 72rpm record, or maybe a wire recording? Or wax cylinder?

Yeah, this is really stupid. I went to the CNN link and read some of the article where they have a link labeled "Listen to the alleged voice of bin Laden" and that only brought up a report by two CNN idiots including Daryn Kagan (Rush's bitch) -- not even one short clip of the "alleged bin Laden." Christ.

orz, you hit it exactly. In this day and age of high-tech audio and video equipment that can be had for a pittance, it's so damn transparent that the "bin Laden" tapes always surface in low-tech formats. Wax cylinder indeed!!

People! Poor Bin Laden lives in a cave, as we all know. He doesn't have access to all the neat gadgets we have. Give the guy a break! He's actually trying to get his message across. What does it matter whether it's on tape, or stone tablets? Be afwaid, be wewy afwaid!

Oddly enough, none other than Michael Ledeen announced that bin Laden was dead just a few days ago:

Quote:
And, according to Iranians I trust, Osama bin Laden finally departed this world in mid-December. The al Qaeda leader died of kidney failure and was buried in Iran, where he had spent most of his time since the destruction of al Qaeda in Afghanistan. The Iranians who reported this note that this year's message in conjunction with the Muslim Haj came from his number two, Ayman al-Zawahiri, for the first time.

nationalreview.com/lopez/...090808.asp

What does it mean? Hell if I know...

Perhaps James Jesus Angleton told him about it in one of their "channeling" sessions.

Edited by: albion at: 1/19/06 5:15 pm

Decoding the "bin Laden" tape

Postby professorpan » Thu Jan 19, 2006 9:03 pm

I posted a short analysis of the "bin Laden" tape on my blog, and why I think it's bogus:

www.charm.net/~profpan/20...-tape.html

Here's the post:

Ah, yes, another low-quality tape from bin Laden's secret cave complex.

Pardon my skepticism.

Why is it that every message from the man works to confirm Bush's talking points, I wonder?

For instance:

"The war against America and its allies will not be confined to Iraq. Iraq has become a magnet for attracting and training talented fighters."

What "OBL" is saying is that Al Qaeda is the major enemy fighting the U.S. in Iraq. While it is true that there are elements of Al Qaeda in Iraq, the purported statement subtly refutes the fact that most of the fighters in Iraq are insurgents fighting the occupation of their country. "OBL" therefore reinforces Bush's continous equating of Iraqi insurgents and Al Qaeda.

Another interesting statement:

"But I plan to speak about the repeated errors your President Bush has committed in comments on the results of your polls that show an overwhelming majority of you want the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq. But he (Bush) has opposed this wish and said that withdrawing troops sends the wrong message to opponents, that it is better to fight them (bin Laden's followers) on their land than their fighting us (Americans) on our land."

and:

"Your president is misinterpreting public opinion polls which show that the vast majority of you support the withdrawal of your forces from Iraq. If your desire for peace, stability and reconciliation was true, here we have given you the answer to your call."

Bush's mantra of late has been that supporters of withdrawal are aiding the enemy, and that opposition to the war plays into the hands of terrorists. How convenient that this tape will now be used to support that absurd notion. I can already hear wingnut radio hosts -- "Didn't you hear what bin Laden said? You pinko peaceniks are playing right into his hands!"

Anyone who opposes the war is doing bin Laden's bidding.

It's too fucking convenient. And, with all the scandals and legal problems the Bush Cult is dealing with, a good dose of fear about an impending attack is just what they need. Remember -- they rule by cultivating fear.

Pan...those are great points.

And this:

Quote:
Funny, why does he always send crappy, difficult to analyze audiotapes -- and they always support and confirm the Bush Cult agenda?

made me laugh. The guy has the money and wherewithal for a sophisticated, worldwide network, satellite phones, etc..and the video quality is worse than video from your average American cell phone would be! I know he's "on the run" and all...but surely SOMOEONE can slip him a decent video camera.

That's not to say they are "fake" in the sense that they aren't OBL. There's nothing in my view contradictory about it being the same guy AND him supporting the Bush agenda.

Prof. Pan,

I think you hit the nail on the head with the purpose behind the recent OBL tape. I'm curious though, what is your thought on the actual nature of the "elements of Al Qaeda"? Who makes up their rank and file? What is their immediate leadership? Who is coordinating their operations/providing their orders? Who is financing them? How are they operating safely amongst the secularist, nationalists, and various tribal factions that may not want them there? And, most importantly, what attacks do you believe they are perpetrating and what do you suppose their top level planners want to accomplish?

Of course, I don't expect you to have specific answers to all of these questions. But, I am curious about what you do think about the well-publicized Al Qaeda operation in Iraq.

Dreams End:

Quote:
There's nothing in my view contradictory about it being the same guy AND him supporting the Bush agenda.

I essentially agree. The main point is that, alive or dead, the public person "Osama Bin Laden" is under control of the same people who rule US foreign policy.

Good ole American boy

Postby Trifecta » Fri Jan 20, 2006 6:03 am

I did an empaths view of the purported Tim Osaman last night, watched some TV for a change and I can tell you this.

That guy, is an American, quite possibly a patsy, his soft eyes, facial features and general aura is one of no killing.

So, the agenda is an obvious one. Pretending he is now in Iran, a new attack somewhere and then send in the nukes via our zionist grunts.

That old record

Orz, I like 72 RPM much better; sounds sorta slow and distorted y'know. It gave me a good laugh anyway.
