If time and will permits:

get as many details from your friend as possible.
try to get in touch with the appropriate police department. if they won't talk, at least try chatting up any cops you might 'know' or who look sympathetic as 'off the record' stuff.
spend a day on the ground investigating, head to the court, maybe ask staff what's gone on that day and see what comes up.

I need to make sure that there's BEEN a bombing attempt, before I see how many websites I can spam with the "news."

Edited by: robertdreed at: 7/20/05 11:21 pm

This is unbelievably exciting

Postby Peachtree Pam » Thu Jul 21, 2005 5:20 am

Hi dbeach and all others,

I listened to the broadcast about Tenet and the put options on the airlines before 9/11. It all sounded like Fitzgerald is going WAY beyond Plame - and that is the danger to the thugs...

Remember it was the FRENCH head of coordination of counter terrorism that let out the FACT that he had seen the explosive material used on 7/7 and it was MILITARY - the official story then changed to "homemade explosives" .....

The point is that the French are helping and are helping BIG TIME....if they have arrested the 4 MI6 agents then the irony is as I have posted before, Bush Sr, and Jr need EVEN MORE LEVERAGE to distract and rally support...and we all know what that means...

Therefore these rumours out of Texas are worrying...

good mates of mine across the pond say that the gag around the families of the "suicide bombers" is unpresidented..oh they are talking now to the media but their tenor and script is vastly different from what they initially were saying to their immediate neighbours/mates in the first 24 hours after the bombings...we all don't know what to think of it all and parcel what I've read now..I really am disconcerted.

Update:
I've spoken with a writer at a local weekly (somewhat alternative) paper who is interested in talking to the CTA worker. I'll try to arrange that today and will post anything I learn.

Wait a minute...

Postby professorpan » Thu Jul 21, 2005 12:46 pm

Okay, here's what the initial link said (from stewwebb.com):

French Intelligence and The U.S. Marshall[sic] Service Monday night July 18, 2005 caught four of Tony Blair's British MI-6 Agents trying to bomb the Chicago Subway system. The four were charged in Federal Court today with explosives.

Let me ask ONE simple question. If this story is true, wouldn't it be a simple thing to check the court records to see if four people had been charged for explosives? Wouldn't the arrest of 4 people with explosives, and the subsequent charging in Federal Court, hit the news radar -- even the MSM radar?

I mean, come on! This board is called "Rigorous Intuition," not "Mindless Regurgitation."

Think and do a little legwork before you post stuff like this. The moronic typos and factual errors should have been the first clue that this is a crock.
