OK fine, maybe I should try harder to play nice. The thing is AD, we are overloaded with data and without better ways of sorting the data, it can become another force that adds to divisiveness. I do not care to see whole classes of people being vilified, as this seems bound to harden the resistance of those folk toward considering the negative aspects of their lifestyle.

It seems way simpleminded and not at all constructive to break this world down into; ’thinks like me = good, does not think like me = bad'. Simple observation could convince you that this is an old style of processing thought. That is, if truth were more important than is the validating of your own personal identity.

But alas, you are righteous and I am an evil shit that is not worth having any exchange with because I do not acknowledge or praise your righteous contributions and stunning vision.

Whatever, fine, so how’s your meditation practice coming along?

Damn, I know i need to try harder to play nice, yet there i go being an ass again.
All these things will continue as long as coercion remains a central element of our mentality.

Dog shot to death, FBI agent charged
Lorena, TX (US)

A local FBI agent who shot and killed a 3-pound Chihuahua named Sassy in front of his home near Lorena is seeking deferred felony probation after his no contest plea in April.

Erik Vasys, FBI spokesman in San Antonio, said Ledger remains a FBI agent.

The dog belonged to the 8-year-old daughter of Ledger's neighbor on Estes Road, Jason Davis. He told other neighbors after the February 2008 shooting that he was saddled with the emotional chore of telling his young daughter that her little dog would not be coming back.

Cyndi Mitchell, who lives across the street from Ledger, has told authorities that she witnessed Ledger shoot the dog in front of her house with a pellet rifle when she went to investigate why her dogs were barking.

The tiny dog lurched to one side after being shot, then rolled into a yard where she died, Mitchell has said.

She saw Ledger lower the pellet gun and walk inside his home with one of his children. The dog had a hole in her neck just above her pink rhinestone collar, Mitchell has said.

DEARBORN — Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox said Thursday that he won’t file criminal charges against FBI agents who shot Detroit Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah 20 times, killing him during a raid last fall at a Dearborn warehouse.

“My office’s review found undisputed evidence that (Abdullah) resisted arrest and fired a gun first in the direction of the agents,” Cox said in a written statement. “Under Michigan law, law enforcement agents are justified in using deadly force in these types of situations, and therefore we found no crimes.”

But some leaders in the local Muslim community have questioned whether the agents used excessive force. Besides being shot 20 times, Abdullah had wounds that an independent forensic pathologist said were caused by an FBI dog killed during the raid.

Some have speculated that Abdullah may have fired his gun while trying to defend himself from the dog. Indeed, Cox’s report said agents deployed the dog after the suspect failed to show his hands while face-down on the ground.

The dog began biting Abdullah, who rolled over, revealed a gun and fired at the dog and at agents, the report said.

I first met attorney Rudy Martin in the mid 1990's when we brought his law partner Antonio Silva to speak at Harvard Law School with the help of Harvard Law Professor Charles Ogletree. Attorneys Silva and Martin were the lead attorneys in a discrimination lawsuit filed against the FBI by over 200 latino FBI agents. After winning their case Rudy Martin was retaliated against by the FBI. During the middle of their lawsuit against the FBI , FBI agents tried to set up Attorney Antonio Silva in a sting operation.

Files stolen from Secretary of State whistleblower

Updated at: 10/01/2010 7:51 PM
By: Gadi Schwartz, Eyewitness News 4

A break-in at the law offices of a former elections director turned whistleblower had Espanola investigators dusting for prints and combing for listening devices.

Former Bureau of Elections Director A.J. Salazar says someone broke into his office Wednesday night and stole Secretary of State files, tax records and a smoke detector.

Investigators swept the law offices Salazar shares with attorney Rudy Martin for bugs on Wednesday and Thursday and say they found evidence of forced entry.

Nixon's Failed Attempts At 'Poisoning The Press'
see link for full story
http://www.wbur.org/npr/130192940

In the two decades that followed, the conflict became so ferocious, Feldstein says, that Nixon ordered CIA surveillance of Anderson and his family -- and White House operatives seriously considered assassinating the journalist.

"They actually conducted surveillance. They followed him from his work to his house," Feldstein says. "They staked out his house. They looked at it for vulnerabilities ... [and dicussed] how they could plant poison in his aspirin bottle. They talked about how they could spike his drink and they talked about smearing LSD on his steering wheel so that he would absorb it through his skin and die in a hallucination-crazed auto crash."

The plot was ultimately called off, Feldstein says, because Gordon Liddy and Howard Hunt, the two men who were supposed to assassinate Anderson, were instead tapped to break into Watergate.

"That led to their arrest and the downfall of the regime," Feldstein says. "[But] there are no smoking-gun tapes showing Nixon ordering the assassination of Anderson. What Hunt and Liddy both said was that the order came from [White House special counsel] Charles Colson. But what Hunt told me before his death was that he believed that Colson was acting at the behest of the president himself. ... I find it very difficult to believe that Colson and the other aides were acting without the implicit support of President Nixon. It defies logic to imagine that they would cook this up, the assassination of a journalist as prominent as Jack Anderson, unless they had the signal from above to do it."

Stephan Salisbury: Surveillance, America’s Pastime

Source: TomDispatch (10-3-10)

[Stephan Salisbury is cultural writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer. His most recent book is Mohamed’s Ghosts: An American Story of Love and Fear in the Homeland.]

The dried blood on the concrete floor is there for all to see, a stain forever marking the spot on a Memphis motel balcony where Martin Luther King, Jr. lay mortally wounded by a sniper’s bullet.

It is a stark and ghostly image speaking to the sharp pain of absence. King is gone. His aides are gone. Only the stain remains. What now?

That image is, of course, a photograph taken by Ernest C. Withers, Memphis born and bred, and known as the photographer of the civil rights movement. He was there at the Lorraine Motel, as he had been at so many other critical places, recording iconic images of those tumultuous years.

In addition to photographing moments large and small in the struggle for black civil rights in the South, Withers had another job. He was an informer for the FBI, passing along information on the doings of King, Ralph Abernathy, Andrew Young, Ben Hooks, and other leaders of the movement. He reported on meetings he attended as a photographer, welcomed in by those he knew so intimately. He passed along photos of events and gatherings to his handler, Special Agent William H. Lawrence of the FBI’s Memphis office. He named names and sketched out plans.

In an exhaustive recent report, the Memphis Commercial Appeal detailed Withers’s undercover activities, provoking a pained and complex response from the many who knew him and were involved in the civil rights movement. His family simply refuses to believe that the paper’s report could be accurate. On the other hand, Andrew Young, with King during those last moments, accepts Withers’s career as an informant, saying it just doesn’t bother him. Civil rights leaders, including King, viewed Withers as crucial to the movement’s struggle to portray itself accurately in Jet, Ebony, and other black journals. In that Withers was successful -- and the rest, Young suggests, doesn’t matter. Besides, he told the Commercial Appeal, they had nothing to hide. “I don't think Dr. King would have minded him making a little money on the side.”

Activist and comedian Dick Gregory, hearing Young’s comments, turned on his old comrade. “We are talking about a guy hired by the FBI to destroy us and the fact that Andy could say that means there must be a deep hatred down inside of him,” he said. “If he feels that way about King only God knows what he feels about the rest of us.”

Ever wonder how FBI agents have been able to get away with assassinating President Kennedy, Martin Luther King and Congressman Allard Lowenstein?
The media....been collaborating with the serial killers since 1920.

She told his FBI supervisor about the assault . He then went and told the FBI agent who sexually assaulted her. The FBI perp confronted FBI agent Suzanne Doucette and told her to forget it nothing would ever be done. He was right. The FBI never did anything but the men and women working in her officer made life so miserable for her for filing a complaint that she collapsed at work from bleeding ulcers.
FBI agent Suzanne Doucette's husband was FBI agent Mark Doucette.
He would later allegedly commit suicide after FBI agent Suzanne Doucette won her lawsuit against the FBI. One of my favorite stories
about the FBI came from Suzane Doucette. She said that to pass the time at the FBI office male FBI agents would place surveillance cameras under the desks of female agents and make bets on the color of their underwear.

Letter from Gen. Partin to U.S. Sen. Trent Lott Benton K. Partin Brigadier Gen. USAF (Ret.)

July 30, 1995

Sen. Trent Lott
United States Senate
487 Senate Russell Office Building
Washington, DC 205102403

Dear Sen. Lott:

The attached report contains conclusive proof that the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was not caused solely by the truck bomb. Evidence shows that the massive destruction was primarily the result of four demolition charges placed at critical structural points at the third floor level.

Weapons Experience: I do not offer such an analytical conclusion lightly. I have spent 25 years in research, design, development, test and management of weapons development. This included: handson work at the Ballistic Research Laboratories; Commander of the Air Force Armament Technology Laboratory, and ultimately management responsibility for almost every nonnuclear weapon device in the Air Force (at the Air Force System command, Air Staff and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) levels). I was also the first chairman of the OSD joint service Air Munitions Requirements and Development Committee. (A more detailed resume appears at Tab 1.)

Observations in Oklahoma City: To verify earlier analysis, I visited Oklahoma City during the last week of June. There I had the opportunity to view hundreds of photographs taken throughout the cleanup operation as the layers of debris were cleared away. The photos present irrefutable evidence that at least four demolition charges were set off at four critical columns of the reinforced concrete structure at the floor level of the third floor.

Conclusion: Based on my experience in weapons development and bomb damage analysis, and on my review of all evidence available, I can say, with a high level of confidence, that the damage pattern on the reinforced concrete superstructure could not possibly have been attained from the single truck bomb. The total incompatibility of this pattern of destruction with a single truck bomb lies in the simple, incontrovertible fact that some of the columns collapsed that should not have collapsed if the damage were caused solely by a truck bomb, and, conversely, some of the columns were left standing that should have collapsed if the damage had been caused solely by the truck bomb.

It is my hope and request that, as a Member of Congress, you will support a Congressional investigation to determine the true initiators of this bombing, which could not have occurred the way in which it has been portrayed as having happened. Further, it is requested that you defer action and reserve judgment on socalled antiterrorism legislation that has serious civil liberties implications, and which would not be passed except for the Oklahoma City bombing until the causes of the Oklahoma City disaster are determined by independent investigators.

Both the Federal Building in Oklahoma and the Trade Center in New York (See New York Times, October 28, 1993, p. A1) show evidence of a counterterrorism sting gone wrong.

No government law enforcement agency should be permitted to demolish, smash and bury evidence of a counterterrorism sting operation, sabotage or terrorist attack without a thorough examination by an independent, technically competent agency.

If an aircraft crashed because of a bomb, or a counterterrorism sting or an FAA Controller error, the FAA would not be permitted to gather and bury the evidence. The National Transportation Safety Board would have been called in to conduct an investigation and where possible every piece of debris would have been collected and arrayed to determine cause of failure.

To remove all ambiguity with respect to the use of supplementary demolition charges, the FBI should be required to release the high quality surveillance color TV camera tape of the Murrah building bombing on April 19, 1995.

It is my observation that the effort required to bomb the A. P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City pales in comparison with the effort to cover up evidence in Oklahoma and the media's withholding of vital information from the American people.

Sincerely yours,

Benton K. Partin
Brigadier Gen. USAF (Ret.)

Attention Left, Liberal and Radical Groups
Pennsylvania Has Been Monitoring You!

By BILL QUIGLEY and RACHEL MEEROPOL

Thank you, Institute of Terrorism Research and Response (ITRR), for reminding us how many bad-ass, dedicated, and creative groups we count as allies in our efforts to create a more just world!

Our friends at MoveON.org, the Ruckus Society, Immokalee Workers, the new SDS, Jobs with Justice, the Brandywine Peace Community, ANSWER, PETA, Stop Huntington Animal Cruelty, MOVE, The Yes Men, Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign, Climate Ground Zero, the Rainforest Action Network, pro-Palestinian Groups, Puerto Rican nationalists, prisoners’ rights organizations, citizen conservation groups, and immigration activists opposing Arizona’s crazy attempts to criminalize all non-citizens should know – Pennsylvania has been monitoring you.

Just over a month ago, ProPublica broke the story that Pennsylvania’s Office of Homeland Security contracted with the Institute of Terrorism Research and Response (ITRR), a private Israeli-based company, to assess terrorist threats impacting law enforcement priorities in Pennsylvania.

For almost a year, ITTR provided bi-weekly intelligence briefings to Pennsylvania Homeland Security which focused in equal part on “jihadist” communications and trainings throughout the world, and also social justice organizing and protests across the country.

Pennsylvania Homeland Security, in turn, distributed this information to 800 federal, local and state law enforcement agencies, along with “relevant stakeholders” like local businesses. Information provided included the political views and movement building strategies of hundreds of law-abiding groups and individuals.

Before Auction, Lennon Has a Brush With the F.B.I.

John Lennon has been dead for 30 years, but the Federal Bureau of Investigation is still on the case.

On Wednesday morning a small pop-culture memorabilia shop in Midtown opened an 836-lot auction timed to what would have been Lennon’s 70th birthday, which is Saturday. The prized item was a set of Lennon’s fingerprints made in 1976 as part of his application for citizenship. Minimum bid: $100,000.

But after an hourlong standoff involving cellphone calls, faxes and meetings with an agent in a parked car outside the East 57th Street storefront, the F.B.I. served the shop — called Gotta Have It! — with a subpoena and seized the fingerprint card, which was made at a New York police station on May 8, 1976, and bears a signature and the name John Winston Ono Lennon.

Given Lennon’s history with the F.B.I. — he was under surveillance in the early 1970s for his antiwar activism — the events were strange enough to make Peter Siegel, an owner of the store, wonder what the fuss was about.

Minneapolis Peace Activists Defy Chicago Grand Jury
October 6, 2010 Minnesota, War/Peace No Comments

The six Minneapolis peace activists whose homes were raided by the FBI on Sept. 24 were ordered to appear before a Chicago grand jury (one more received summons, but wasn’t subjected to a raid), beginning yesterday. All have refused to appear, opting instead to defy the grand jury order. Another rally met in front of the Minneapolis FBI office yesterday afternoon to express support and solidarity from a wide range of peace and activist groups. A thoughtful protester even brought a soap box to legitimize the speaker’s appearances.

Judge rap US over Bulger civil trial
Says victims, families were unfairly blamed
By Shelley Murphy
Globe Staff / September 25, 2010

A federal judge in Boston yesterday found that the Justice Department tried to humiliate and embarrass the families of two women who were murdered by longtime FBI informants James “Whitey’’ Bulger and Stephen “the Rifleman’’ Flemmi by unfairly blaming the victims for their own deaths during a lengthy civil trial last year over a wrongful death suit brought against the agency.

US District Judge William G. Young ordered the government to pay $5,000 each to the families of Debra Davis and Deborah Hussey, who were slain in the 1980s, for legal fees that resulted from “responding to a meritless defense raised with the sole purpose of embarrassing’’ the women’s families.

The government had argued that both women and their families were negligent because they had personal relationships with Flemmi that put them at risk.

In a separate ruling yesterday, Young refused to reconsider his earlier finding that the Justice Department must pay hefty legal fees to the mother of another Bulger victim, John McIn tyre of Quincy, for acting in bad faith by deliberately withholding evidence of FBI corruption in a bid to get that case dismissed before it went to trial four years ago.

Caught Spying on Student, FBI Demands GPS Tracker Back

* By Kim Zetter Email Author
* October 7, 2010 |
a student got a visit from the FBI this week after he found a secret GPS tracking device on his car, and a friend posted photos of it online. The post prompted wide speculation about whether the device was real, whether the young Arab-American was being targeted in a terrorism investigation and what the authorities would do.

It took just 48 hours to find out: The device was real, the student was being secretly tracked and the FBI wanted their expensive device back, the student told Wired.com in an interview Wednesday.

The answer came when half-a-dozen FBI agents and police officers appeared at Yasir Afifi’s apartment complex in Santa Clara, California, on Tuesday demanding he return the device.
