brainpanhandler wrote:Hey, I couldn't help overhearing your conversation... you wanna know where to live if you got asthma? Well I'll tell ya, stay outta the cities. Pure poison. They should all be condemned and burned to the ground. Ya gotta move south, where it's warmer, but it's gotta be dry, so it's gotta be the southwest. Yer best bet's probably northern New Mexico or Arizona. Stay as far away from the big cities as you can and the higher the altitude the better. What you need is clean air, some good clean air. And I don't know what you mean by your own bathroom and everything, but you might want to stay out of smokey bars. Can I buy ya a Dr. Pepper?

@SW: After years of working inside the bureaucratic machine and that unhealthy environment you might also want to try something that is conducive to creating positive social environments.

This might sound ridiculous, but consider taking a group relaxation course, or something similar, just to help cleanse all the negative build up over the years. Personally, I initially attended relaxation courses to reduce physical tension, and soon found that there were other psychological benefits. It didn't take long before I was looking forward to the twice-weekly get-togethers. A nice refreshing break!

Submitted for your consideration.

This is the first year I've actively resented St. Valentine. Did I say resent? No, hate, hate is more like it. And next year I must remember to decline my friend's invite to the annual single's party, which only adds shame and humiliation to the loneliness.

:mad2

Eh, what a vicious circle.

.

Has anyone tried Rain vodka? I swear, I don't know if it's because it's organic or what, that shit is hangover proof. Also, the cucumber flavored one is dee-lish.

I'll have a nice cold Hammer, pleeze! (That's a Hamm's beer in marycarnivalspeak, btw)

And while we're on the subject of Valentine's day....well, I always pretty much ignored it, not being a very 'holiday-y' sort, especially when it comes to stupid, made up money-grubbing holidays like VD, but---

My fella made me a valentine this year.

This valentine is a cartoon he made with photoshop. A cartoon him telling a cartoon me how much he loves me. I cried. For reals. Totally floored me. I could describe it, but it wouldn't do it justice or convey the meaning that it has for me...I could post it, but it's too personal. Suffice to say that no one has ever made anything so sweet and heartfelt like this for me, and this is the first VDay that has ever meant anything at all to me...sometimes people can surprise you, even after years of being together...

But yeah, VDay is generally pretty annoying, tho, and I hope my sappy story didn't annoy anyone too much.... :happybanana:

Oh, and where can I score some of that cuke vodka? Sounds awesome!

Good Morning to all my Canadian friends

Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

what's all this about Victory over Deutschland day?

The real February Holy-day is just around the corner... Presidents Day is almost here! :happydrunk:

On the morning of President's Day, the haul the corpse of George Washington from his tomb and see if it casts a shadow. If it does, six more years of psudo-fascism.
By 1964 there were 1.5 million mobile phone users in the US

The P. Day celebrations are wonderful to watch.

"I cannot tell a lie! Fredonia Mattress World has chopped down prices! It's an American revolution!"

"George and I are here to emancipate you from slaving to pay for your good night's sleep! Four score and more Serta, Sealy and other premier names are here at Fredonia Mattress World! When I saw these prices, it was like I'd been shot in the head!!!"

Mary Carnival, thanks for sharing, how wonderful for you both. I was also reminded one should not rule out surprises!

Nathan, sometimes I get the urge to send you a care package, but that would be illegal.

I totally made my girlfriend a card this year, featuring a unicorn dinner and, uh, unicorns.

Here's the rain website:

http://www.rainvodka.com/

I normally wouldn't promo stuff here, but that stuff is amazing. I like it over ice with just a wee bit of water. There's a 'find Rain' tab at the website.
