It was drawn up at the end of the 1940s by British and French lawyers as representing what Europe had learned from six years of war.<br>Article thirteen guarantees the right to an effective remedy. Note this is not qualified in ANY way. Just that the remedy is effective.<br>My enemy has cheated and denied me a non-violent remedy. Pam, Victor Ostrovsky, the former Mossad colonel, wrote in "The Other Side of Deception" that the Mossad made plans to assassinate GHWB in 1991, because he had threatened to withhold US loans to Israel if Israel didn't participate in the peace process. Ostrovsky is the only source I have for this, but if he's right, then Flocco is wrong about the Mossad's ability to blackmail Bush Sr. One shouldn't trust a former spook, perhaps, but that's what he wrote, and I generally think he is credible. However, he also wrote that he "knew" that Bush was not involved in Iran-Contra, and that this rumor was created by the Mossad, which patently is bullshit.
