Going, but hopefully not gone.

Postby Harvey » Sun Sep 11, 2011 2:16 pm

Hi folks.

I've had an amazing and disturbing week which has prompted me to think about leaving here for a time. If I get the oportunity to come back, and I hope I do, I'll let you know how things turned out.

Relating to what has happened to me, a wise friend said that if I chase shadows, all I will see is darkness. I'd like to look toward the light for a while, perhaps even kindle a few little lights as I go. I hope so. But I value the many insights I've had through being here and wanted to say thankyou to all of you as well as goodbye. Only for now, I hope.

I'd like to tell you that I've found wisdom, but it's nothing of the sort. Sometimes the world allows you to see a little of itself, and the result is at once humbling, beautiful and also terrifying. The way forward seems even more baffling and hidden. I think we are forever at a cross roads between something worse and something better. All you can do in these times is to trust in something greater than yourself, and hope that you may make better choices in each moment you are given, knowing that even the most enlightened choice may be wrong. As even the stars cast shadow, so do we.

Love and peace to you all.
And while we spoke of many things, fools and kings
This he said to me
"The greatest thing
You'll ever learn
Is just to love
And be loved
In return"

If you've learnt that much I think you'll do just fine.

All the best.

Word, Big Harv.

I know where you're coming from and think we've (most of us) been there. It's a perpetual toss up.

I note that you and I have the same sig line.. okay well not anymore, I changed mine.. but still. I had it for a good long time. And I note too that yours is in green, the agreed upon sarcasm colour for the board. I hope that it isn't sarcastically delivered, because I think it's the most important lesson to be learned on this Earthbound journey.

much peace, much joy.

Recently I have been becoming increasingly more aware of the fact that I walk with one foot in one world and one foot in another world. Everyday it becomes harder and harder to do it. These times are exactly what the past 10,000 years of the Human Existence has been leading us too. You can't make the jump from one reality to the next without out a little discomfort.

Be Well and Be Safe.

Harvey, I just wanna say that this place and the good people on it had a hand in saving my life in dark and shadowy days. It's when I began posting. I'd had an account going since 2007, but was always scared to post here out of paranoia. I felt that everything Jeff ever wrote was fully right on and that because it was so right on, insofar as speculation into the occult, the shadows, as it were, that it must be illegal. It's not. Not that it's "not". But that it's not. And you are, as anyone welcome here and I hasten to say, please don't fear the little bits of darkness we all go through.

The light, really, is right here! No luceferian light, mind you. But, good people doing good works for constant edification, enjoyment and education. There is nowhere like RI. Not a place. Not a single place on Earth that I have found allows me to be me and you to be you with a great and worried and wise author such as Jeff at the helm.

I wish you wouldn't go. I was about to a couple months ago, due to some "in fighting". But I am so over that now, as I don't ever hold a grudge and would rather give a hug. That I am enjoying RI even more than ever.

Stick around homeboy! We are your friends. And you're never gonna take that "foot" out of the "other world". That "other world" is not RI. RI is where we all place our findings. We need you as an investigator! You know what I'm saying?
There is no me. There is no you. There is all. There is no you. There is no me. And that is all. A profound acceptance of an enormous pageantry. A haunting certainty that the unifying principle of this universe is love. -- Propagandhi

Well that's all very cryptic! My curiousity is piqued. But hey you'll be missed, seriously, I enjoyed your presence here.

That's poetry, man, you nailed it right there. I don't know what I can do. I am ignorant. I try to be humble and kind and look after those I love, and not be a burden.

God bless you Harvey.

I always really enjoyed your contributions. You were a sterling lesser light of the board, if you don't mind me saying so.

If it gets too dark, look for the light and you will find it, I guess.

I often leave the board for long periods, up to six months or more, but am then drawn back.

What do they say? Sunlight is the best disinfectant?

Nous sommes du soleil...
We love when we play...

Open doors we find our way
We look, we see, we smile
Surely daybreaks cross our path
And stay maybe a while

Let them run, let them chase
Let them hide between
Constant doors will open eyes
As life seems like, life seems like a
Fight, fight, fight

Maybe I'll just sing awhile
And then give you a call
Maybe I'll just say hello
And say maybe that's all

Hurry home as love is true
Will help us through the night
Till we're coming home again
Our life seems like, life seems like a
Fight, fight, fight

Catch as we look and use the passions that flow
As we try we continue
We recieve all we venture to give

Maybe we'll just stand awhile
And surely we can call
Dreams are said to blossom courage
Constant to the soul

Change we must as surely time does
Changes call the course
Held inside we enter daybreaks
Asking for, asking for
The source, the source, the source, the source

Sent as we sing our music's total retain
As we try and consider
We receive all we venture to give
All we say is our soul constant sight listener
We won't tender our song clearer till we sail
Then I will be there
And I will be there
As clearer companions shall call to be near you
They move around telling me that
Move around surely sing
As they don't seem to matter at all
At all, at all, at all................................

Hold me my love, hold me today, call me round
Travel we say, wander we choose love tune
Lay upon me, hold me arund lasting hours
We love when we play
We hear a sound and alter our returning
We drift the shadows and course our way back home
Flying home, going home

Look me my love, sentences move dancing away
We join, we receive
As our song memories long hope in away
Nous sommes du soleil
Hold me around lasting hours
We love when we play
Nous sommes du soleil

Nous sommes du soleil
Nous sommes du soleil
Nous sommes du soleil

Harvey, should you ever want to meet up for a beer, just PM me (I'm in Twickenham). Really enjoyed your contributions here. Many people need a break from here - I needed one after some of the Franklin discussions.

Code: Select all
Grant to us the serenity of mind to accept that which cannot be changed;
courage to change that which can be changed, and
wisdom to know the one from the other

For many people, R.I. can be a place of forced growth - in courage and wisdom - a process which benefits from engineering a lot more serenity into the mix. :lovehearts:

Quick reply > I'm overwhelmed by the love, support and understanding and with luck, I'll be around from time to time.

taz -> I live in hope.

watcher -> Note the colour change. Sarcasm has been burned out of my repertoire temporarily, but I'm sure it would be back with a vengeance if I could sit in sun and contemplate for five minutes, LOL

rex -> you are indeed the king, peace brother

Swindled -> One of the few things that I know, we all walk in two worlds. But most of us don't know, will never know, or are on our way to knowing. (Side note: On the 'Knowns and Uknowns' speech - I believe Rumsfelds unconcious mind was fucking with him, and I believe the universe has a splendid sense of humour)

82-28 -> It feels good to be valued by you my friend. Thanks

nordic -> You're standing in a field of sunflowers, it's a good sign

hammer -> You know me better than i 'knew' myself

searcher -> I would love to. We'll have to figure out the logistics at some point but that would be marvelous if we both get the chance. The code is wise and good
