I don't follow UFO phenomenon, are there any estimates on the numbers of "abductees"?
Prevalence
Reports of the abduction phenomenon have been made around the world, but are less common outside of English speaking countries, especially the United States.[4]
[edit] The Roper PollIn 1991, Hopkins, Jacobs and sociologist Dr. Ron Westrum commissioned a Roper Poll in order to determine how many Americans might have experienced the abduction phenomenon. Of nearly 6,000 Americans, 119 answered in a way that Hopkins et al. interpreted as supporting their ET interpretation of the abduction phenomenon. Based on this figure, Hopkins estimated that nearly four million Americans might have been abducted by extraterrestrials. The poll results are available at this external link: The Roper Poll: UFOs & Extraterrestrial Life, Americans' Beliefs and Personal Experiences
[edit] CriticismHowever, critics have argued that there were significant problems with the poll's methodology which should invalidate the results. Writing in Skeptical Inquirer, psychologist Susan Blackmore notes that based on her analysis, "I conclude that the claim of the Roper Poll, that 3.7 million Americans have probably been abducted, is false."[12]

Christopher Knowles and the ELUSIVE COMPANION HYPOTHESIS
Christopher Knowles (from THE SECRET SUN) has coined a new term, The ELUSIVE COMPANION HYPOTHESIS as a way to better articulate the elusive meta-weirdness that surrounds the UFO phenomenon.
Mr. Knowles speculates that if there's a signal out there, it's being filtered out. Shamans, occultists, sick children and other thought-criminals seem to pick up on the signal when the stars are all aligned. It's a fleeting state, but it's driven forward our evolution in ways we don't quite understand.
And sometimes, even humble "Joe Normal" gets zapped by this signal on his very own road to Damascus. And even Haywood Floyd got zapped in a 40 foot pit on the moon.
They saw a silver and red light circling each other, then hovering close to each other and then flying away. Crazy I tells ya

The tone is humble and agnostic, providing food for thought rather than claiming to reveal the absolute truth. Nevertheless there is a definite perspective provided, which might resonate with folks here. Some of the main talking points are as follows:
*Richard Dolan is cool.
*Karla Turner is cool.
*Steven Greer sucks.
*"The Secret" / New Age pure positivity / ego-centric manifest-your-own-reality ideas are one-dimensional, delusional, and dangerous.
*The 'aliens' behind the abduction phenomenon are not benevolent.
*Said aliens are perhaps transdimensional beings who have been with humanity since the beginning and are akin to the parasitic archons of gnostic teachings.
*There may be benevolent aliens out there too, but they seem to be taking a hands-off approach out of respect for our own free will / evolutionary destiny.

I was disappointed to see that Laura knight-jadzyk was taken seriously.
As above, so below: if in reality the earth is actually a prison, or a farm, or a petri dish, what then?
