FWIW, After the Dream is still going. Just started posting the sixth issue, which delves into U.S. military contractors' involvement in opium smuggling, chemical weapons, human trafficking, and human experimentation. Oh, and also a shamanic battle against the personification of cocaine.

Volume 1 (the first six issues) is just about complete, and I put together this little video project to celebrate. It's meant to be like a movie trailer for the series. I may polish it up a bit more, but I'd love to hear folks' feedback on it, especially folks with a background in visual arts.

A keen-eyed observer may notice the inclusion of a few scenes from Volume 2, when then series gets a bit cyberpunk.

Hi OK.

I think the panels with text could stay on screen a bit longer. Perhaps you could play around with some fade effects and other bits of timing, but it looks good. I will definitely spread the final version.

Is that Radiohead? It's fitting.

That's amazing--both the montage of artwork, the pacing and the choice of music! I think Willow has a point about maybe giving viewers a few seconds longer to read the text, but other than that it's great as is. What program did you use to create it?

Thanks, crikket!

PW- agreed on all points, thanks. Music is Ruled by Secrecy by Muse. If you aren't familiar with them, they have lots of amazing political songs, including one called (and about) MK-ULTRA.

LPT- Cheers as well. Just used Window Movie Maker, which I recently discovered came pre-installed on my computer.

Okay, so here's the actual video in it's final format. I wasn't able to do some of the fade effects I wanted, but I fixed the timing and edited the progression a little:

Back in school since a liberal arts degree isn't getting me anywhere in this economy, but I'm still managing to crank this thing out for now...
