Right on MayDay. Yes, this death is highly suspicious.

Had the same reaction from a friend when Occupy shut down the Port of Seattle in 2011. I told her changing the world is bound to cause a bit of inconvenience. Granted, it was a bit of posturing, but it also got her to reconsider. Blockades may not be the best among tactics, but people tend to use the tools they find to hand. I think this one is an attempt to circumvent the media. We had a peaceful 5 hours of protests last night, in more than one area of the city, and one of the local newscasts did not cover it at all. They opted instead to send their mobile units to a nearby town where a drunken woman drove her car through a shop window. They are beyond despicable.

I wish however, that interference was more targeted to power brokers' personal space, though I understand this presents a number of difficulties, including heat of the moment planning.

Here's your "woo" in Ferguson:

"I’ve been dreaming of death. Seeing pictures of death. Seeing pictures of bloody sheets hanging on clotheslines."

Just days before Michael Brown and his brown body encountered a white police officer and a gun in Ferguson, Missouri, the 18-year-old child said that to his stepmother. She told the world of this foreshadowing during Brown’s funeral two months ago, as anger turned to tears, and this small community ignited a wave of protests and activism that would continue for more than 100 days – and will begin anew, starting right now.

But it goes with this:

"To be a Negro in this country and to be relatively conscious is to be in a rage almost all the time."

Fifty-three years ago, James Baldwin aptly observed that devastating truth.

Ferguson, goddamn

Damn that almost brought tears to my eyes. Michael Brown has been painted as such an animalistic thug by the media, that makes him more than human.

He also bears a strong resemblance to my lilly-white son. That may seem odd but it's unmistakable.

It certainly is interesting that one of the questions cable news station journalists never seem to ask of the officer is this:

"What is your favorite talk radio show to listen to while you are on shift?"

This is stochastic terrorism:  you heat up the waters and stir the pot, knowing full well that sooner or later a lone wolf will pop up and do the deed.
The fact that it will happen is as predictable as the fact that a heated pot of water will eventually boil.
But the exact time and place of each incident will remain as random as the appearance of the first bubbles in the boiling pot.

FERGUSON PROSECUTING ATTORNEY RAISED FUNDS FOR OFFICER DARREN WILSON

CORY COPELAND — NOVEMBER 26, 2014

Outrage has burned bright this week as a Grand Jury decided not to indict Officer Darren Wilson, the man responsible for ending the life of 18-year-old Michael Brown under suspicious circumstances this past August. Demonstrations all over the country have protested the decision, with the fires of anguish burning brightest in Ferguson, MO where the incident happened.

However, one fact that seems to be generally overlooked is the allegiance of St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch, who read the Grand Jury’s decision on national television. Mr. McCulloch is the President of an organization called The BackStoppers Inc., which is designed to assist the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty (police, firefighters, etc.). The problem? The BackStoppers Inc. raised funds for the officer who put six bullets into an unarmed teenager by offering a shirt that proudly proclaims, “I SUPPORT OFFICER D. WILSON.” The description accompanying the shirt–which you can find here–clearly states, “Donations from purchases will be divided between a fund set up for Officer Wilson at [we at Bedlam refuse to link to this campaign] as well as The BackStoppers Inc. organization which can be visited at www.backstoppers.org for more information.”

So the question we must ask is this: how can a prosecuting attorney remain non-partisan when the organization he is the President of is raising money to support the officer involved in the case he’s allegedly investigating? And you don’t have to take our word for it. Visit The BackStoppers Inc. board of directors page here and see the plainly evident facts. Mr. McCulloch’s name and title are proudly listed under President.

Michael Brown hasn’t received justice, and as long as those investigating his death are firmly on the side of the man who murdered him, he never will. This is not okay.

We've been having a grand old time dragging racists through the mud after this. Not sure if anyone has seen the communismkills saga but she's remorseless and has been for awhile, predating Ferguson.

Just a handful of small victories.

I'm not sure if I correctly understand what you're saying here, Luther.

Are you saying that baiting and shaming racists into submission is the way forward?

It doesn't help Ferguson much, but it's a chink in the armor of institutionalized racism to get racists fired from their jobs or removed from their positions as voting machine inspectors. Some few of them will reevaluate their views, and others will see it happening and reconsider.

One of the best things that we can hope for is that Ferguson is a teachable moment. I'm not totally sure what's happening in the mainstream media, but in what I've been consuming and reading the past few days, this whole narrative seems to be falling apart.

Anonymous posts KKK leader’s personal data online in ongoing war over Ferguson
Published time: November 28, 2014 19:08

Hacktivists aligned with the Anonymous movement have published credit card numbers and other personal information allegedly belonging to a leading Ku Klux Klan member amidst a grudge between the groups fueled by recent protests in Ferguson, Missouri.

Members of the loose-knit hacktivist collective have taken aim at the Klan in recent weeks after the KKK threatened to use lethal force against demonstrations descending on Ferguson to protest the August 9 killing of unarmed teenager Michael Brown by local police officer Darren Wilson. The feud between the groups has only escalated in the days since, though, and now Anons are circulating what they claim to be sensitive details about a powerful Klansman and his family.

Through a Twitter account formerly associated with the KKK but compromised by Anons earlier this month, hacktivists posted on Wednesday this week a trove of data purported to pertain to Frank Ancona, the self-described Imperial Wizard of the Missouri-based Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

“We'll just leave this here,” Anons tweeted through the @KuKluxKlanUSA account, along with links to two documents containing data alleged to be Ancona’s home address, Social Security number, credit card details, social media profiles, tax records and information on his family.

“We Are Anonymous. We Are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. You should have expected us KKK,” concludes one of the documents uploaded to Pastebin.com.

In the wake of the KKK’s warning against Ferguson protesters, hacktivists aligned with the amorphous and internationally dispersed Anonymous collective have waged a relentless campaign against the Klan, targeting the group’s online presence by attempting to hack affiliated webpages and even wiping some of the sites off the internet.

“The Ku Klux Klan is a terrorist group. The blood of thousands of human beings are on the hands of Klansmen,” Anons tweeted through the compromised Klan account earlier this month as the group escalated its operation, dubbed #OpKKK. “In most of Anonymous’ member’s eyes, the KKK no longer has the right to express their racist, bigoted opinions.”

At the time, Ancona told the Daily Mail that Anonymous "Sounds to me like a bunch of kids in their mom's basement whacking off” and shrugged off the threats. But in a recent interview with Alex Poucher, an apparent member of Anonymous, Ancona explained that the Klan “just wanted to show support for Darren Wilson” and downplayed reports that the organization intended on getting violent.

“We’ve got people who live there who are going to defend their homes and their businesses, but we’re not sending an army to Ferguson to come down there and start a bunch of trouble,” Ancona said. “In fact, no one’s even going to know we’re there. I mean, we don’t hide.”

Anonymous has since made that clear by posting what hacktivist purport to be Ancona’s home address.
