Fascists way to the right of many players objected to here are already part of ruling coalitions in places like the Baltic where forced migration was enacted on a much more massive scale than at the present, back when the USSR was experimenting with it.

It would be clumsy to call a group like Islamic State fascist but they were certainly extremists and they got a lot of mileage out of smartphones. The technology doesn't seem to have hurt them.

I did read futurist tomes in the 1990s which suggested smartphones would make violence obsolete, though.

My personal prefernece would be de escalation in current conflict zones, something the former governments of those areas seemed quite capable of whatever their flaws...

Manchester Police Hunt Meat Cleaver-Wielding Thugs Who Stormed Asian Family's Home To 'Kill Isis Scum'

Police are hunting a group of masked men who broke into an Asian family's home and reportedly screamed: "We are going to kill you, Isis scum."

Three men, armed with a gun, a meat cleaver and a knife, smashed their way into the property through the rear door on Wednesday night.

The men threatened and racially abused three of the occupants, but had their faces covered.

The incident, which happened on Fairbrook Drive in Salford, is being treated as a hate crime by police.

A long-standing Labour local councillor, John Warmisham, told Manchester Evening News: “This is an appalling incident and will not be tolerated in Salford.

“It appears it was purely a nasty racist attack – but at a level I have never heard of before.

“Apparently the family has been targeted for racial abuse before.”

"Officers attended and found that three men had smashed through the rear doors armed with a gun, a meat cleaver and a knife and threatened and racially abused the three occupants.

"No one was injured and nothing was stolen."

Detective Sergeant Ben Cottam from GMP's Salford Division added: "This was an incredibly distressing incident for the victims. We have specialist support officers working with them through this stressful time and we will try to establish what happened.

"This is being treated as a racially motivated hate crime."

Yeah - a traumatised family probably huddled in a corner crying and wondering if they are even safe in their own home any more just begs for a punchline. Classy.
