Recently, links to RI accompanied by an endorsment have been broadcast on some US-based left message boards and listserves.

I'm wondering honestly without really having a firm opinion yet -- is extending this promotional campaign further necessarily a good thing for this board?

Is "what's good" for Jeff's writing -- which is about as on-point as anything out there right now, and deserved of promotion -- going to end up as the same as "what's good" for what is/was a parapolitical discussion board? How seperate are they, anyway?

Is there "consensus" on what this board is to be? Can anybody influence it? Since I've been reading, it has a very mystical quality to it, that goes beyond even my own will.

Does the process of acheiving consensus always birth what is right? How much weight to "consensus" should Jeff be expected to grant (it is his final call, after all).

Since I've been here, it seems that Jeff has acheived a healthy balance of hands-on -- and mainly hands-off --moderation. But times are changing.

Beyond that, are fruitful collaborative research and debate assisted by increasing the hits?
