thumperton: I saw a recent paper which looked decently rigorous to the effect that silver nanoparticles make a very effective general-purpose antiviral. I don't know that most commerical colloidal silver products have the silver sufficiently small for the antiviral effect to kick in -- you want as small an average particle size as you can get -- and my caveats about dosage still apply, but there may be more to the silver than I thought.<br><br>Just fyi, the principle w. nanoparticles is that because the particles are individually so small there's more surface area exposed and thus more reactions take place; if the colloidal silver is 'clumpy' compared to nanoparticles you'd have to take a much larger dose for the same reactivity, but then you'd run the risk of silver poisoning. <p></p><i></i>

Just because my better half is in medicine and was a chemist doesn't mean I know much of anything beyond what I've gleaned. you're correct; I just would be skeptical of colloidal silver being sufficiently fine-grained to be worthwhile....to make the analogy clear: if you're trying to hit a quick-moving target, you're better off throwing half a dozen golf balls than one baseball, and better yet throwing hundreds of bbs; partly b/c you get more chances to hit the thing, and partly b/c the misses are going to hurt the surroundings less. Making nanoparticles is tough, and I'd be wary of anything I didn't make myself -- it's probably not contaminated or anything, just not fine enough to be worthwhile. <p></p><i></i>

This explains much.<br><br>When I started posting here, I wondered why this website, of all places, was so vigilant against possible stealth racism with reckless accusations of "coded language."<br><br>I wondered why DreamsEnd only saw baseball bat-wielding anti-semitic cultists when I wanted to discuss a Larouche essay on 9/11 and why proldic grossly mischaractered and misattributed my postings in accusations of racist "deep cover" (which others write he does frequently) as if he didn't have enough arms to swat the swarms of Nazi demons in the air. (I'll pick up that 'dialogue' in the Fire Pit out of courtesy to others here.)<br><br>I was repelled by that atmosphere a coupla weeks ago and three dimensional life called for attention anyway. Now I see upon reading around the site and finding frequent duels with BNP-types and this posted racist campaign to infiltrate the evidence of racist 'operatives' afoot is made concrete.<br><br>Operatives are real, not just paranoia. <br><br>I had my own dance with operatives (I suspect) when I outted General Clark over at democraticunderground.com and was savaged relentlessly and painted as a 'Rove-ian' by a small organized pack of 'Clarkies.' This has happened to many other people, not just me. Definitely a pattern. If any political candidate has alphabet-agency operatives carving out a candidacy on the mainstream internet, it would be the former Supreme Commander of NATO infiltrating the Democratic Party. <br><br>The Army War College (notice it's not called the 'Defense' College) has lots of work on using the internet as a new psy-ops venue and the 1999 war in Kosovo saw both sides using massive propaganda efforts on the web for the first time. So I suspect the military has many more players on the web than do racist fronts. Consider the budgets and the motives. Although the military has nurtured and exploited racism for a long time so the web racists probably get some Pentagon help surreptitiously for plausible denial. I notice that Denver Airport is shaped like a swastika, not far from the US Air Force Academy.<br><br>The tactic of weaving anti-Sharon/Israel/neocon military outrage with anti-semitic articles has been accelerating for a few years. I wave people away from thetruthseeker.co.uk all the time. Most people don't really know the 'agenda' of a given website and merely link to stories there for absolute value like my lefty friends who don't spend as much time on the web. Few are as agenda and psy-ops savvy as the core users of this website.<br><br>As for learning from one's enemies, I'm an anti-war liberal who has found that the military uses psy-ops on civilians through CIA-steered media so I'm studying military training manuals, OSS morale operations documents, and, yes, even the infamous Mein Kampf since the OSS/CIA extrapolated the work of Edward Bernays and Hitler to craft the tactics of psychological operations which Michael Aquino described as MindWar. <br><br>All to see how to deconstruct scientific fascism and wage peace in militarized permanent war culture set up to breed fascists with things like the newly released movie 'Doom' which uses 'first-person-shooter' video as a recruiting device.
