You've edited quite a bit, BS. I was hoping to be able to quote your second sentence of a now edited paragraph. However, what I quoted is proximate to it.

Why would you or anyone else waste their time to compose a slew of questions to ask someone to answer, someone who you already know has blocked your postings from their view?

And then you ask another to copy your questions and post them so AD can read them and then answer?

I did read it, and I don't understand how or if it relates to people posting here, none of who, as far as I know, were members—except for me: I joined by invitation when it first started, but once I realized it wasn't what I thought it would be, I stopped participating.

Iam: i'm not the only one asking questions. Others are as well.
Again, this is a discussion forum, is it not? I have questions, as do others, of the claims raised by the content (repeatedly) posted here. They remain unanswered.

If you have any objection to the questions, by all means, raise your objections. I grant you that it's a fool's errand continuing to expect a reply. A number of us continue to strive towards discourse and discussion; others clearly do not. It's part of the reason I am limiting and/or cutting myself off from this board.

My edits are to format and syntax -- I'm a harsh critic of my own choice of words. If you're implying something else, please share it and I'll be happy to address any concerns you may have. Otherwise dispense with the insinuation.

Peartreed: there is absolutely no 'coordinated' effort here. At least, this much I can claim for a fact, and you're welcome to have the mods review my PMs: I have never conveyed any sort of "coordinated attack" (a claim in itself that is lacking in merit) to the others who've posted here the last several pages (Elvis, Mac, Rory).

It's an absurd accusation.

For those RI members curious about why Altered Minds UK Forum was referenced above:

The Site Administrator there was C_D, who had previously posted on RI as Coffin-dodger. As you know, he and others had invited RI members and former RI members to join them, particularly those who had been disciplined by RI mods, were known disruptors and also those banned or departed. Many of the familiar names from both sites appeared on the AM thread about RI. The commonality was a resentment and rivalry with RI, with vengeful intent.

Under the former AM Board Index listed under “The Other Place” or “That Other Forum” was a ridiculing RI thread of 9 pages. Another thread there, “Covert Ops Over at RI” was where a BODAM (Black Ops Dept Altered Minds) thread, seemingly to entertain, discussed sending AM members to RI to troll and disrupt. It used code names for teams reporting back on their progress and mayhem at RI. You would have recognized many names as avatars on both places, or slightly altered avatars to signal to each other as to who that name actually was.

An introduction to the “Other Forum” thread there featured AD, SLAD, Jerky and Dr. Evil, along with ridiculing stock photos, as the enemy quartet ruling RI and controlling its content. The posts that followed criticized RI and trashed its members with calls for organizing RI’s disruption and eventual demise. That forum just closed, likely under the weight of its own redundancy, since participants had joined both sites or had returned to set up shop here.

Well, it appears they have succeeded with you as their unwitting accomplice, peartreed; this thread has been utterly derailed by claims of 'bullying' and unfounded insinuations of 'coordination' with another (apparently now defunct) forum.

Well done.

When I wrote this, I meant to keep intact the context of your response to peartreed, but in that I could not recall to reconstruct either sentence you wrote before or after, I trusted that which I quoted was accurate. You did indeed edit that sentence. And you do not contest its accuracy to the original. Thank you for your affirmation.

However, I asked you two distinct questions, neither of which you've answered! “They remain unanswered.”

Here's my first question, "Why would you or anyone else waste their time to compose a slew of questions to ask someone to answer, someone who you already know has blocked your postings from their view?"

Here's your reply to my question: "Iam: i'm not the only one asking questions. Others are as well."

I’m not asking anyone but you! “Again, this is a discussion forum, is it not?”

Allow me to ask you once again, "Why would you or anyone else waste their time to compose a slew of questions to ask someone to answer, someone who you already know has blocked your postings from their view?"

The question mark at the end of this incomplete sentence I wrote and have again quoted below should be interpreted as, 'what's up with that?'

"And then you ask another to copy your questions and post them so AD can read them and then answer?"

And an observation: It is sad that you felt I had some need to insinuate something that I had not at all insinuated and had never occurred to me. I asked a simple question and you should be able to simply answer it.

And before you accuse me of insinuating you’re simple, I assure you I am not.

Actually, I did respond to your questions, Iam, but I'll elaborate further for you.

Iam:
Here's my first question, "Why would you or anyone else waste their time to compose a slew of questions to ask someone to answer, someone who you already know has blocked your postings from their view?"

Here's your reply to my question: "Iam: i'm not the only one asking questions. Others are as well."

I’m not asking anyone but you! “Again, this is a discussion forum, is it not?”

That was only a small portion of my reply. Here is my prior response to you, in full:

i'm not the only one asking questions.

I've bolded certain portions in an effort to help clarify. You can remove any reference I make to "others" and read my response as representing my position alone. In fact, since I'm sitting here typing this, I'll re-frame for your convenience:

I have questions of the claims raised by the content (repeatedly) posted here. They remain unanswered. I grant you that it's a fool's errand continuing to expect a reply. I strive towards discourse and discussion; others clearly do not. It's part of the reason I am limiting and/or cutting myself off from this board.

Now, please review my questions posed to AD, before this thread was derailed, and by all means, circle back if you've any point to raise about my questions to AD.

I hope this response satisfies you, Iam. If you remain unclear, and in an effort to avoid further off-topic commentary, please PM me and we can continue this discussion as spare time allows.

I'll leave you with another comment I typed earlier, which also pertains to your inquiry as to why I ask questions here:

I'm going to let this go, BS. You have not answered my direct question put to you. If there was no way for AD to read whatever you wrote, why write it? My concern is with your evasive avoidance of answering one simple question. I really don't give a damn about your questions to AD - I care about you responding to MY question.

Now you're trying to engage me in analyzing your questions to AD, who could not possibly read whatever you posted, and that's completely immaterial to my question. AD could not read your postings because he's blocked you from his view. Worthy as your questions might be, it seems more likely to me you're incredibly evasive in supplying me with a sane answer to why you would compose a written letter to a blind man who could not read it?

1) Who are you to know what he actually reads or doesn't read?
2) The OTHER MEMBERS/LURKERS HERE CAN SEE THE QUESTIONS. They are raised for others to see just as they are for AD to read and/or IGNORE.

(Let me spell this out, since apparently you fail to grasp this: it's ENTIRELY POSSIBLE for AD to read my questions if he chooses to do so. YOU are not in a position to KNOW what he actually reads or doesn't read.)

The point of asking the questions is to address FAULTY claims directly, refuting them with supporting information (which often doesn't happen because AD refuses to engage). I also ask questions when certain claims presented here are lacking in substance, depth, and/or corroborating evidence, particularly when the content is in the form of pasted editorials rather than substantive analysis.

He may (or may not) read them, but given the topics of discussion, such questions NEED TO BE RAISED REGARDLESS.

AD ignores the questions because he has no substantive answer to them. He is spreading propaganda here for some time and refuses to defend any of the content posted.

And you, Iam, are wasting my time.

Luther Blissett said... way back in the OP:

History shows that the only thing that can defeat fascism is socialism.

There's nothing to conserve. The planet and the political sphere are changing too fast. The way forward is the next stage in human evolution out of the scourge of capitalism as predicted by Marx and Engels, and the people are ready to fight for it.

Let's use this thread to gather ideas.

Here's an idea (not mine) for a socialist response: a General Strike.

From the OP...

A couple hundred organizers met yesterday to discuss ways in which to build forward taking the people power approach over the strictly electoral approach. To organize patrols to mobilize against deportation dragnets; to conduct anti-catcalling / anti-harassment / anti-assault patrols; to teach english classes to immigrants for free; to organize against police brutality, the war on drugs (including heroin and methamphetamines), and the carceral state; to unite labor unions and bring them back into their older, more radical leftist political spaces; to create our own media; to organize the students who for the first time have a more favorable opinion of socialism than of capitalism; to strike; to run for local office; and to protest.

I assume Luther meant a general strike. Otherwise it would have no effect.

The first choice is always to enter into mud slinging.

The second choice is to frame the conversation in such a way that the proposals submitted are not practicable.

The third, unacceptable, extremely distasteful, choice is to advocate solutions, possible or improbable, which are within the means and abilities of anyone reading the thread.

Basically both 'sides' are the same, acting as partners, witting or otherwise, to what is essentially a waste of everyone's time.

Kudos.
