As a "liberal and proud of it" activist Democrat, I've been very disapponited by the Democratic Party, time and time again.

But, there are battles that can be fought and won, simply by having different groups with similar agendas join forces.
It happens all the time.

MoveOn.org and the Christian Coalition could not be further apart politically, but recently they both got together and put the heat on the administration to leave the internet alone.

Fundamentalist Christians, Libertarians and Liberals are currently teaming up to fight against "chipping" the populace.
This one is really gonna bite W. in the butt, because many Christians are willing to die rather than get "the Mark of the Beast".

You just can't let 'em grind you down.
Write to your congressman and get them to vote the way you want.
Support people in Congress like Cynthia McKinney, who dare to speak truth to power.
It's not gonna go our way everytime, and I'm not blind to the massive change in America's mindset since 9/11, but some of the scales are falling from the public's eyes.

There was plenty of anti-German, anti-Japanese & anti-Communist hysteria before, during & after WWII, but people eventually saw the light, albeit slowly and with great difficulty.

Remember....history is ALWAYS made, for good or bad, by motivated groups of individuals.
Be it Mao and the gang of four, Hitler and the Brownshirts, John Brown and a few abolishionists or that guy from Nazareth with the disciples......they changed the world.
