US Avian Flu plans include troops for 'insurrection'

U.S. Plan For Flu Pandemic Revealed

Washington Post, April 16

President Bush is expected to approve soon a national pandemic influenza response plan that identifies more than 300 specific tasks for federal agencies, including determining which frontline workers should be the first vaccinated and expanding Internet capacity to handle what would probably be a flood of people working from their home computers.

The Treasury Department is poised to sign agreements with other nations to produce currency if U.S. mints cannot operate. The Pentagon, anticipating difficulties acquiring supplies from the Far East, is considering stockpiling millions of latex gloves. And the Department of Veterans Affairs has developed a drive-through medical exam to quickly assess patients who suspect they have been infected.

The document is the first attempt to spell out in some detail how the government would detect and respond to an outbreak, and continue functioning through what could be an 18-month crisis, which in a worst-case scenario could kill 1.9 million Americans. Bush was briefed on a draft of the implementation plan on March 17. He is expected to approve the plan within the week, but it continues to evolve, said several administration officials who have been working on it.

...

To keep the 1.8 million federal workers healthy and productive through a pandemic, the Bush administration would tap into its secure stash of medications, cancel large gatherings, encourage schools to close and shift air traffic controllers to the busier hubs -- probably where flu had not yet struck. Retired federal employees would be summoned back to work, and National Guard troops could be dispatched to cities facing possible "insurrection," said Jeffrey W. Runge, chief medical officer at the Department of Homeland Security.

The administration hopes to help contain the first cases overseas by rushing in medical teams and supplies. "If there is a small outbreak in a country, it may behoove us to introduce travel restrictions," Runge said, "to help stamp out that spark."

However, even an effective containment effort would merely postpone the inevitable, said Ellen P. Embrey, deputy assistant secretary for force health preparedness and readiness at the Pentagon. "Unfortunately, we believe the forest fire will burn before we are able to contain it overseas, and it will arrive on our shores in multiple locations," she said.

I'd missed this earlier story:

U.S. to create a bird flu virus mutation

Washington Times, March 24

Atlanta, GA, Mar. 24 (UPI) -- The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has begun a series of experiments to see how likely the bird flu virus could result in a human pandemic.

The six-month series of experiments seeks to simulate the mixing and matching of genes from the H5N1 avian flu virus that has plagued Asia and a common human flu virus that public-health experts fear could turn avian flu into a pandemic, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.

CDC scientists inside an ultra-secure laboratory have started swapping the genes of the H5N1 avian virus with the genes of an H3N2 virus, the strain behind most recent human flu outbreaks.

The goal is to substitute the eight genes of each virus, one by one, with the eight genes from the other virus to see which of more than 250 possible combinations create flu viruses that could spread easily among humans.

Edited by: Rigorous Intuition at: 4/16/06 4:17 am

Wow! I'd missed that earlier story too. Why the f*k would they do that? So that it can be "inadvertently" lost in transit from one lab to another?

Signs o' the End Times!

That's how they know that it's gonna make the leap from bird to bird transmission to human to human transmission.

bird flu memes and the Janus faced gods...

Postby darkbeforedawn » Sun Apr 16, 2006 12:09 pm

Yeah--this creating the disaster and then "curing" it with various "wars" and "rescue" operations, vaccines etc. seems to be the modis operendi of the elite. Look at cancer, look at "terror", look at aids. The creation of the HIV virus is now being deeply questioned by many reputable scientists. There exists a lot evidence that it was created in a lab, funded by the military....anyway
now the "cure"---expensive "cocktails" of drugs available from only--quess who-- Big Pharma....hm...no other equally effective treatments being given any credibility by our whorish medical establishment whose educational and research facilities are all funded by said monster--Big Pharma. Drugs, oil and weapons...what an unholy alliance.

The contagion of outrage, dissent, and resistance to the Council on Foreign Relations and their National inSecurity State will probably be quarantined with localized 'outbreaks' of disease threat in the areas that flare up into street protests.

Cancelling large gatherings and even schooling serves this purpose.
"You are all grounded!"

The culling of the American herd through pollution and poverty is a slow motion eugenics campaign for sure. And a "drive through" check-up for flu? Wow. Katrina left-behinds all over again.

But I'd think that Fort Detrick would rather destabilize China's and India's economies with real epidemics, not the USA. Seems they got their way already with AIDS in Africa.

Bird flu 'events' will be rehearsals for crisis social controls, much like Katrina being used opportunistically as a FEMA control excercise.

news.independent.co.uk/en...357783.ece

Quote:
According to computer-modelled predictions for the Government, a three-degree rise in temperatures could put 400 million more people at risk of hunger; leave between one and three billion more people at risk of water stress; cause cereal crop yields to fall by between 20 and 400 million tons; and destroy half the world's nature reserves.

Environmentalists warned that Greenland's ice cap could melt, raising sea levels by six metres. You know it's a hoax when the MSM does not even ask the obvious questions like:

1. Where does the virus originate before it gets to the birds?

2. Why are so many of the military and so few of the scientists involved in this exercise [preparing for the pandemic]?

3. How did the swan in England [for example] get exposed to the virus?

4. How do they know it will kill so many people when it hasn't happened yet?

Regards,

GC
