Now that is one hell of a great quote—and applicable to so many things, unfortunately.

How about saying sorry is a refusal to learn ?

Unless of course , like myself, you already know everything ;)

sorry. i was [deleted] when i wrote that.

right before this thread first existed, barra and myself may've had a short snark exchange. my first snark had been about the very existence of the thread in question. our exchange effectively ended the thread. i won't jeopardize my tentative victory [albeit following a troop withdrawal] by being more explicit.

the other line, bout Billy Ray, was in reference to barr's apology to tKl, and my estimations as to its timing. That is, my assumption is that tKl was being pre-emptively apologized to for being used as a [non-flattering] example in the Cyrus thread. The one I'm not actually participating in, but have been reading.

hope that doesn't help too much.

basically, it was a *poke* [friendly] directed at the cuda, for [his?] sense of humor. no harm or confusion intended, although it is always interesting to analyze unintended consequences.

Which I believe makes most of this on-topic.

or whatever.

BTW, I hope you can appreciate the restraint it required to resist the temptation to take advantage of the unfortunate wording of this admission.

I feel like I should apologize for something I didn't even do.

Maybe that's what §ê¢rꆧ was getting at.

What thread? What off-color joke? I don't believe I have a proprietary interest in any thread at the moment, I'm just hitching my wagon the to the stars of others.

I like off-color jokes. Apologize for suggesting I don't.

Here's one for the board; my mood degenerated last night so I'll reiterate the op:

I know I'm a dick sometimes, and I really don't usually mean to be, sometimes I write and post in a hurry before I think enough about shit... in advance, in absentia: sorry.

It'll prolly happen again, that's why I needed this thread. *sigh*

Sorry, KingMob. It doesn't advance the cause to call earnest contributors "pussies," I know.

You need only apologise for not having posted more. I still giggle at your "now I should change my password".

lol, ok, maybe i was fishing for compliments then, and thanks a bunch for coming through Seamus.

I like you too.

I marvel at the abilities of so many posters at RI who are able to write so much, so intelligently. Then there are those who only seem to use their wit as an irritant. So it goes.

It takes me forever and a day to scratch out my substandard text and I never fail to disappoint myself, but I'm glad it amuses you. (and I know a "good" writer would never use so many "I's", "me's" and "my's" but screw it, you know. Objectivity eludes me.)

I still giggle at your "now I should change my password".

That was the post where I was able to choose a different username because Jeff moved the board, and I was so relieved to get out from under the old username terryintacoma. I was suffering anxiety attacks when it finally dawned on me that if anyone ever did address me, they might call me "tit" and I would be so embarrased.
