Just don't anyone post that picture of the guy eating the live octopus from the movie "Old Boy." That was a, uh, remarkable movie, but I couldn't watch that scene and sort of screamed as I hid my eyes. And the actor really did it. The horror! (Especially as I'm a vegetarian and I also have read much about the intelligence of octopi, and I'm not talking about shadow-government-conspiracy octopi).tron wrote:

My apologies for starting that. I saw a few bean recipe entries, and I was sure a fart post would 'clear the thread' so to speak (thus me winning). I was obviously wrong. It was in the same vein as I see others mentioning porn, which was equally ineffective.Penguin wrote:As well as my great seitan recipe.
Thou thanks to those fart jokes, and inoculation theory,
nobody will want to try it out now.
Thanks a lot. Well, you dont know what youre missing.
Your recipe looks delicious (pg.4).

IanEye's "Peepin' @ Porno"

are you familiar with John 'ButtMan' Stagliano or John Leslie?
They have both made nice features in the past.
Stagliano's 'Wild Goose Chase' is fun and Leslie's 'Fresh Meat - a Ghost Story' is a surreal mix of 'Mulholland Drive' and Polanski's 'Repulsion'.
'ButtMan's Toy Stories' is perhaps the very definition of a couple's feature in that Stagliano hands over the camera duties to someone else and has a scene with his wife, Tricia Devereaux.
I'm not sure what to make of his latest feature, 'ButtMan's Stretch Class'.
John Leslie also has a fair amount of screen time in his two part meditation on filth, 'The Lecher 1' and 'The Lecher 2'.
But in the end, if it is 'wall to wall' that you are into, have you heard of the 'Waist Watcher' series?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes. Although I've not seen Stagliano's movies, I know them by reputation. I've seen at least a of few of Leslie's, Curse of the Catwoman and Chameleons: Not a Sequel coming most readily to mind.IanEye wrote: Hi Fat Lady,

As far as I'm concerned, the best porn I've seen, in terms of being an actually good film with interesting characters, decent acting, and cinematic style, is Layout, directed by the porn world's closest thing to a non-porn auteur, Paul Thomas. I call it the Nashville of porn. It really is Altmanesque, and I've seen enough porn parodies to know that Thomas has a rep for being a true film geek, so it's not a stretch to imagine he had Nashville in mind. There's some fairly brutal scenes in it that I won't watch, but for the characters, they make sense. That's the great thing about Layout in general: all of the sex scenes make sense. Have you seen it?
I'd also say that nearly any feature with Chloe is worth watching. She's a good enough actress-actress that she could've made it in mainstream -- far better than Jenna or any of them that try to go legit. Chloe is a force of nature. And every scene is about satisfying *her*, not the viewer. If the viewer likes it, so be it.
Sorry to be so effusive in a forum such as this -- I used to blog on the subject, actually, and I do wish more people would see what at least I think of as "good porn" so more of it would get made. It's probably inappropriate, though, so again, apologies.
(I also don't think watching porn is anything to be ashamed of, and I wish more people felt that way.)
Heh, appropriate for my moniker. I haven't seen that many in the wall to wall genre -- mainly what's called "alt" porn, I guess. I don't know that I like it, but at least there's a lot less silicone.IanEye wrote:But in the end, if it is 'wall to wall' that you are into, have you heard of the 'Waist Watcher' series?

Well, I for one am quite interested in viewing "good" porn, something I've never seen before and the reason I haven't watched any for a good many years. Too depressing. I often wondered why "real" directors and writers didn't try their hands at it-the possibilites are rich and endless. I suppose it's the dearth of good actors willing to participate.
FLS, I will definitely be checking out Layout.
