There's a long history of idiot schools officials running these hoaxes, drills, scenarios, call em whatever - I thought they'd all been shamed into never doing it again by around 2007.
conniption - bring whatever you like, people will naturally also state their opinions, this is ok
the thing is, there's veterans of the psychic wars abounding and if a few try to warn others off what looks to them like fruitless rabbit holes, well, that's a nice thing to know isn't it?
as for the oddities, it's a fuzzy world and very hard to pin down facts, pictures can lie, etc. Take ANY news story like this and the same sort of "glitches appear" - but some of the stuff being hauled up is so weak that the newtruthers spotting this stuff, and the other ideological baggage they carry, make it look like highly suspicious territory.
but yeah, The Media. It's too easy to 'blame the media' and there's not a damn thing we can do to make them change. This type of coverage seems to work in terms of delivering eyeballs to sell ads to. The grander social conditioning ala edward bernays goes on too.
Best thing is for people to stop watching the worst. Fox has lowest ratings in a decade right now.
Everyone can't spend all their time trying to make others think like themselves. People do want security. Some of us worry about a "police state" but others have been living in one already for the entire history of America, or worse than police state. and you know, there is a real risk we face from organized crime, and shit is fucked up out there. but the truth is we can't afford a real police state, and the PTB have no need for much more than they have already. That isn't the real threat. A "new Feudalism" is what we face, and for many that will mean simply being rendered superfluous. Redundant. Unnecessary. Useless Eaters. "Ordinary people" need to find ways to stay relevant in 21st century earth.
