Yesterday, I attended a rally against a mining company that wants to dig up old native burial mounds. It was nice to be amongst a group of people who were passionate. And I believe in what they stand for. But I stood in this crowd, holding a sign, and wondered what the fuck was going to be accomplished.

I probably shouldn't be in contact with idealistic people. I'm afraid I'll sap all of their positive energy.

I feel like a bucket of water that's being thrown onto a campfire.

At least you got off the couch and showed up!

Amen, Nordic, Amen.
Band aids. Very satisfying in healing small wounds, Neon. Major surgery is too risky.

Effecting positive change within your own sphere of influence brings larger, more positive possibilities individually and as a group, victories that extend your combined power and influence ever further.

Gut wrenching, thanks for sharing; I've been there. Don't let the Bastards get to ya...choose your battles. Of course most of my battles are with myself...
