Re: TRUMP is seriously dangerous
I literally want Jill Stein to be president, so I am voting for her.
If you had been at the talk Laura Cáceres gave over the summer about her mother and continuing to fight maybe we could have cried together.

I have seen her...I have listened to her...I am a realist in regards to the real world...she will never be president....all the hopes and dreams will not make her president....ever
why do people think that this is the first election that is about the lesser of two evils?
it's been the way of the world ...like forever

Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

Well I was also a proud Nader voter in 2000 and Stein voter in 2012.
It's 2016 and things can happen incredibly quickly today. How would you vote if Trump were assassinated tomorrow? Would you join us in voting Stein then?

I think I might write myself in. Just like the Nader days and other elections, if I like someone that means they are never going to win. Yet there are some small exceptions. We have a socialist member on the Seattle city council. Jim McDermott (a D but liberal as hell) is retiring. Seattle for the time being is untouchable. Republicans don't even bother to run here.

As long as everyone thinks she can't win she can't win. If everybody who doesn't vote voted for her, she would win.
No fucking way should anybody vote for Hillary fuckig Clunton. She STOLE the nomination.
This is like supporting Tonya Harding in the Olympics.
It's just NO.
She's Dick Cheney. In this case Dickless Cheney.
You would have to have no morals whatsoever, or be a Republican, to vote for this wretched lying cheating murderimg piece of shit.

The other thing: When is a "good time" to vote third party?
There never is. It's always OMFG the world hangs in the balance!!! If the other guy ends we're all gonna die!!! You cannot waste your vote, not THIS TIME!!! It's the most important election of ALL TIME!!!
I've been voting since 1980 and every time this is the manufactured hysteria they whip up so we'll ultimately endorse their bullshit

Luther is right, a lot can happen.
Can't help but feel that much of what's been going on in the last months has been about this election. And it's working. Mature grown up men and women will pretend to vote. Politicians will pretend to represent. And it's always the edge of the abyss, always now more than ever. Unless we face up to our fears, pretending is all we'll ever be.

Hey wait a second, that's right! Don't be mad at me voting Stein, Al Gore won in 2000 by half a million votes! They don't care how many people vote for one candidate or the other!

Well in all fairness, Rubio and Jeb Bush didn't have their own reality tv shows.tapitsbo » Wed Sep 21, 2016 12:00 pm wrote: Trump's supporters were able to nimbly destroy the vast massively funded machine behind the other candidates. The idea that he would get the Republican candidacy was a taboo until it had already happened.

Yes, the dire situation in many of their communities regarding police brutality, wealth inequality, and deep poverty require revolution now.
Revolution from the bottom, up. I could probably support that. Not that I expect it to happen, and am well aware that it would come with its own set of problems. But it's pretty much all I would support at this point. Nothing personal against Jill Stein, I just don't like politicians.
Remember, this is just me. I'm unreasonably so far to the left that it isn't even funny. I don't even like anarchists. I'm not trying to sway anyone's opinions, win you over to my point of view. Just telling you we're I'm coming from. Which is nowhere, I guess. haha

I only vote for the local laws. They are the only thing I feel any sense of vague power over.
I vote far left as I can for Preznit, but I live at the edge of the hood so it doesn't matter. Republicans don't even come here. Hillary's victory in Detroit metropolitan is probably a foregone conclusion. Trump might edge her out in a couple of the whitest burbs, but even this is not for certain. Colleges and all. If the Greens were able to form a coalition with disaffected democrats with a well known candidate they could potentially have a real presence outside of the inner city.

Re: TRUMP is seriously dangerous
Wanted to come back to this fractured online reality thing. Being part of an online 'community' colors the perception. It could be a message board, or a network of websites, a cultural circle I 'live' in, identify with. I'm a lefty, I'm a righty, I'm a conspiracy buff, I'm a hip technology-type. I'm anonymous, I'm a Lucky Black Cat. (Just kidding about that last one. There's no such thing as the Lucky Black Cats. Nopes.)Blue » Tue Sep 20, 2016 7:40 am wrote: It's easy to get caught up in any website's local culture where it colors your perception, leading you to project it onto the larger world. We live in a very fractured reality online.
Maybe its a social media circle of friends and followers. My twitter feed becomes the lens that distorts my view of the world. Even the internet itself, taken as a whole can be the 'community' I identify with. It can become almost transparent. Like how they say a fish doesn't see the water it's moving through.
The internet can be a useful tool for research, though. When I have something I want to look up, I look it up. I have a definite goal in mind on my search.
It can also be an escape. I go surfing without looking for anything in particular. It's easy to get lost. I can use the internet like a consumer. What's trending, what are my friends/followers talking about, what's happening in the cultural circles I identify with.
And of course the internet can be used to sell stuff. Sell product, sell ideas, sell myself.
As I use the internet more as a tool for specific goal-oriented research, and less as an escape and for buying and selling things, I've noticed that it's easier to keep my center. I'm more like a person swimming in the ocean than a fish.
No point here, just my thoughts.
