This was the landing page of RT on Saturday, as massive anti-Putin protests took place in cities across Russia.
Seems like something is missing here...
RT did publish one article about the anti-Putin protests. Except they never mentioned that they were anti-Putin protests.
I guess they were too busy making sure you know that the protests were unsanctioned.

Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

"Massive". Sic. So says "Caroline O," , but why should anyone take her word for it? None of the photos I have seen support her (mere) assertion that any of those protests were "massive". If anyone knows of any such photos, please post them here.seemslikeadream » Sun May 06, 2018 7:35 am wrote:

While I'm waiting: Here, from the original RT article, is some of the context so carefully omitted by that tremendously trustworthy twitterer "Caroline O.":
Is there any serious factual error there? Number of protestors, number of arrests, legality or illegality of the protests, etc., etc., etc.? If so, do please post the evidence that refutes it. Because this is not a place where propaganda gets mindlessly recycled, is it? This is Rigorous Intuition's General Discussion board. Is it not?...
Moscow authorities had offered the demonstration’s organizers several venues for the rally, but all options were rejected – including Sakharov Avenue in the center of the capital, which had hosted a thousands-strong rally in support of banned internet messenger Telegram less than a week ago.
Navalny instead urged his supporters to descend on Tverskaya Street, claiming a ‘constitutional right’ to gather wherever and whenever they want. The city accordingly warned the protesters that the venue where they were planning to march was unauthorized.
Following a brief detention, Navalny was eventually released from custody shortly after midnight and pending a court hearing. A number of minors and underage teens, who comprise much of the activist-blogger’s support base and some of whom were detained at the rallies, have also been released to their parents or guardians, after "preventive conversations," police announced around 10pm.
Meanwhile, around 2,000 took part in another unsanctioned protest in St. Petersburg, according to local police, where some 200 of the most “active participants” were detained.
Protests have been held in other cities across Russia as well. While some gatherings were sanctioned by the authorities, most were held without the required permits. The protests were largely incident-free, according to police. A number of protesters, however, were detained during unsanctioned rallies in several cities, namely in Krasnoyarsk, Samara, RIA Novosti reported, citing police. In other cities, such as Omsk, Cheboksary, Ufa and other locations, law enforcement did not detain anyone during the unauthorized gatherings, as protesters peacefully dispersed after warnings.

There are plenty of photos of a "massive" protest Mac, what are you suggesting here?

Re: Why Do People Apologize For Russia?
It's not a quibble. It matters. ^^That photo also does not show a massive protest. It shows a section of a crowd. maybe a couple of thousand people, at a very generous estimate.

Re: Why Do People Apologize For Russia?
Okay, maybe not massive.
But were they legitimate protests by real people, or choreographed Liberal propaganda?
You are comparing it to a staged event? Not a "grassroots" situation?
That comes with the assumptions most are happy with Putin. Are you seeing it that way?

Didn't think I was, in fact I was asking for clarification of your pov and you provide a response as evasive as those you complain about from AD.MacCruiskeen wrote:Please stop putting words in my mouth, Burnt Hill.
Just trying to clarify where you stand on this issue.
The questions are not unfair, but I can respect and process your decision not to answer them
