In the White House where you are
Marking up a weather map with Sharpie
Your brain is on a moonbeam
I know that's where you are
You stay of jail
Thanks to Bill Barr
You lied 'bout a hurricane
There's ink on your hands
And I'm tired of what you say
And all your petty insecurities
I want get you out of that job
Carried away
Here today
Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

Crash on the levee, mama
Water's gonna overflow
Swamp's gonna rise
And no boat's gonna row
You can train on down
To Williams Point
You can bust your feet
You can rock this joint
But oh mama, ain't you gonna miss your best friend now
You're gonna have to find yourself
Another best friend, somehow
Now, don't you try an' move me
Mama you're just gonna lose
There's a crash on the levee
And, mama, you've been refused
Well, it's king for king
And it's Queen for queen
It's gonna be the meanest flood
That anybody's seen
Oh mama, ain't you gonna miss your best friend now
You're gonna have to find yourself
Another best friend, somehow
Well, that high tide's risin'
Mama, don't you let me down
Pack up your suitcase
Mama, don't you make a sound
Well, it's sugar for sugar
And it's salt for salt
If you go down in the flood
It's gonna be your own fault
Oh mama, ain't you gonna miss your best friend now
You're gonna have to find yourself
Another best friend, somehow

The World
I think the world is a calculated place
I think that everything is framed
That our thoughts are drawn beforehand in the air
And you believe that the latest catch
She put some wine in your pain
Open your eyes the world is changing
Ah yes I know that one day
Ah yes I know that one day
To see more clearly you have to forget all the lies
Ah the world is changing, the world is changing
Relieve your heart, relieve your soul
Ah the world is changing
And you believe that the latest catch
She put time into
Your pain, your pain
Tomorrow is another way out
It hurts to say but I'm afraid, I'm afraid, I'm afraid
Ah the world is changing, the world is changing
Relieve your heart, relieve your soul
Ah the world is changing, the world is changing
Ah the world is changing, the world is changing
Far, far away
I remember a world
That's gone astray
Close your eyes, hold your breath
Dreams severed from each other now
Are tangled in a web
Time never passes
His dreams are closed
Fragments remind me
Of a memory that's now broke
Shared woes and fiction
I don't understand
Do we ever really
Hope of dreams that we had
Is it over?
Is it over?
Is it over?
Say good-bye, I say good-night
Like a cloud without
The ocean tatters
Drinking in the earth
?
Stranded in the moon light
It's become a
Whole new future
Time never passing
His dreams are closed
Shared woes remind me
That a memory that's now broke
Shared woes and fiction
I can't understand
Are we ever really
In control of the dreams that we had
Is it over?
Is it over?
Is it over?

By the mid-1980s, Eddie Money had reached a low-point in his recording career after several years of drug abuse.[1] Columbia Records still wanted to keep Money on its roster, but restricted his creative control regarding his output.[2] Record producer Richie Zito brought Money the song "Take Me Home Tonight", and Money would recall: "I didn't care for the demo [but] it did have a good catch line. When I heard [a snippet of] 'Be My Baby' in it I said: 'Why can't we get Ronnie Spector to sing it?' [and was told] 'That's impossible.'" [3] Money invited his friend Martha Davis, lead vocalist of the Motels, to sing the lines from "Be My Baby" on "Take Me Home Tonight": Davis encouraged him to try to recruit Spector herself and Money was eventually able to speak on the phone to Spector at her home in northern California: Money - "I could hear clinking and clanking in the background...She said: 'I'm doing the dishes, and I gotta change the kids' bedding. I’m not really in the business anymore, Eddie. Phil Spector and all that, it was a nightmare'...I said 'Ronnie, I got this song that’s truly amazing and it’s a tribute to you. It would be so great if you…did it with me.'" [4] The success of "Take Me Home Tonight" encouraged Spector to resume her singing career, and she released her second solo album, Unfinished Business, in 1987.[5] In 1987 Money would say of "Take Me Home Tonight": "I didn't like the song, but…it helped Ronnie out and it helped me get some of my other material on the album across, so now I'm happy I did it." Always been most fond of his duet with Ronnie. Rest in Peace, Eddie. What a hit maker.
