First track from Music Furthest From The Sea - pop sounds from the unStan Vol. 1. Modern Uyghur music. Been familiarizing myself with the long, rich, multi-cultural melting-pot history of the area and surrounding regions. So much, easy to get lost out there, suddenly find yourself in front of the most dizzying vistas. The rest of the songs on the album as mp3s are here:

Both his words and manner of speech seemed at first totally unfamiliar to me, and yet somehow they stirred memories - as an actor might be stirred by the forgotten lines of some role he had played far away and long ago.

One of the finest American Old-time stringbands performing today. Film Directed & Produced by David Bunn.
