Mandrake Effect Maximizing?!
.
Hank Aaron, Larry King, Cloris Leachman?! We all remember they died already. The Mandalorian Effect continues to ravage our reality. As Thomas Jefferson said the day he died: Abe Vigoda survives!

MOD MESSAGE: Friendly edit, hope you don't mind, I can delete. On our phpbb version, a timestamp can't be included in the embed code. One can put a timestamp in a hyperlink, like the one above, and that goes straight to the indicated point in the video. A successful embed (i.e., like the one in which I just removed the timelink) goes to the start of the video.

Re: The Mandela Effect (Disappearing Braces in Moonraker)
Mandela Effect may just be mis-remembering things. which I am leaning towards, but I still say I remember that scene in Star Trek V as a memory, not a dream or my imagination. It's something I really can't explain. I saw it, I know I saw it, why am I the only one who remembers such a scene? Oh well. Like I said, I am willing to accept it's all in my head.
Born we are the same, within the silence, indifference be Thy name
Torn we walk alone, we sleep in silent shades
The grandeur fades, the meaning never known- 'Born' Nevermore

Bishop Desmond Tutut *just* died? I assume the M Effect is just memory tricks but if not, I would swear I remembered him dying in 2005 or so.

He's still alive in my universe. Spoke to him last night.

Re: The Mandela Effect (Disappearing Braces in Moonraker)
What's the inchoate version of the Mandala effect by which one had thought someone had already died but finds out they're still alive? That's the effect I feel whenever I see this thread bumped, and how I feel about the effect itself.

Indeed. It's as if I had created my identity unwittingly, now 10.5 years ago, to enable your shrewd retort. I knew I should have gone with the double-e spelling, although 'Cipher Oyster' and 'Creep History' leave something to be desired.

This has ruined me. Why did you have to go revive this thread Harvey. My memories were still pure only moments ago.Belligerent Savant » Mon Sep 26, 2016 11:34 am wrote:.
Well, ladies and gentlemen. I managed to locate the 'old VHS tape' in question (complete with 80s-era commercials -- apparently it was recorded off a standard TV channel, not "HBO" as previously presumed). I have reviewed the scene/scenes in question.
I have CONFIRMED that the blonde girl in pigtails ........
is NOT wearing braces at ANY point in the movie.
"malleability of memory and perception", indeed.
I'll look into the best method to upload my copy (I'd have to convert it to digital first), though may send screenshots in the interim for anyone interested.

It gets worse...

(Oh, and I did just post this in the Covid thread by accident then delete it, if any of you saw that...
)
For me, it was always trespass and trespasses. I'm told by a friend that even his very old copy of the King James version now contains the above quote, which neither of us remember. Anyone else? And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
