It's nice of them to give me the choice, but do go on, tell us how terrible Amazon is!
So much of this shit could be fixed by just banning targeted ads and the creation of user profiles completely. They shouldn't be allowed to log anything about me without my express consent and a clear explanation of what exactly they're logging and what will happen with that data, and they should pay me for the privilege (I want to turn each of my data points into NFTs and track them throughout the ad-surveillance ecosystem and charge accordingly). If they really want profiles they can find ideal demographic representatives and hire them to serve as universal user profiles.

Michael Hudson and Yanis Varoufakis are two people you want to listen to.
Hudson has many talks on YouTube, including a biweekly webcast that goes over these topics. You can't go wrong, Hudson has been researching & writing about 'Super Imperialism' for 60 years.
Varoufakis too, his talks & book on techno-feudalism very clearly spell out the problem of Internet "enclosures."

In the spring of 2022, the FDA announced that they were developing a “Future Framework” whereby reformulated Covid boosters would skip human clinical trials and only be tested in mice.
We mobilized to defeat the vote which was expected in June, generating over 1 million calls, emails, and letters to the FDA. But there never was a vote on the Future Framework. They just started doing it. It was a fait accompli.
The WHO is about to do the same thing with the Pandemic Treaty. In May, the WHO will discuss a Pandemic Treaty that does not actually exist on paper — with details to be worked out later. I predict that the details will never be voted on. They’ll just buy off enough corrupt leaders from third world countries so that they don’t complain and then the WHO will just act as if the Treaty has always existed.
And those digital vaccine passports that we’ve been gearing up to fight? There’s never going to be a vote about those either. There’s not going to be an app on your phone. There’s just going to be a camera at the airport that scans your face and looks you up in their database. You never opt in or out, it just is.
This is what totalitarian governments do. Everything has been implemented via executive order for four years. Why would they stop now?
