This is the most unbelievable pile of dogshit I think I have ever heard.

Watching Fox makes me literally queasy, but there is some interesting info in the interview.

Did you think the Col. sounded really nervous? I did. And what are the chances that, had the accused made nearly any of the statements it is purported he did, that he would've not been very rapidly investigated by MPs or whomever is responsible for internal affairs?

Good questions, especially the second one.
In the military you don't get away with such statements the consequences are usually immediate especially for an officer.

CNN reporting SHOOTER NOT DEAD BUT ONLY WOUNDED.

Lone shooter, no others suspected.

So this guy may live to talk?!

I'm predicting he has amnesia for the episode.

They said he's in stable condition, so probably yes.

This gets fishier and fishier.

And unlike other incidents, the military has controlled the situation and the participants from the beginning.

Numerous reports of multiple shooters at Columbine, redacted, just two dead kids after all.

Numerous reports of multiple shooters at Virginia tech, redcated, just one dead English major after all.

Numerous reports of multiple shooters at Fort Hood, redacted, just one dead Doctor after all.

EDIT: Oh crap, I guess he rose from the dead as I was posting this.

It's weird that I'd misunderstand when you're using "I" to refer to "the Fox News crowd" -- how could you have been more clear? I'm such a pothead.

But...that's a relief, Percival, it seemed a very unusual comment for you to be making. I read you now.

This is rapidly becoming very politicized. On Twitter I get about 800 new tweets on this story every 3 minutes.

I don't think we'll hear what he has to say unless it's something they want us to hear.

Well I didnt state it very clearly its my fault but I wanted to clear it up the reason I had said it was because I was already seeing on forums many comments that ALL MUSLIMS should be removed from the military now and that sort of ignorance just pisses me off and makes me embarassed to be an American.

I guess what I meant to say was that I FEEL BAD FOR MUSLIMS because many ignorant Americans will now use this event to further stain Islam.

Well now CNN is saying that he had a semi-automatic. Before, they just said he had two pistols.

Because, you know, people on an Army base can't tell the difference between a pistol and a rifle! Simple mistake!

Perfect way to not get redeployed; become a Muslim, hey, after all they (RT Wing islamophobes) are always satirically calling it "the religion of peace" anyway. Make it so.

It's interesting, in reference to two recent headlines:

1. The Army Surpasses their Recruitment Goals
http://bit.ly/WCKKy

But yet, at the same time, today we get:

2. The new generation of soldiers are totally unfit
http://cryptogon.com/?p=12009

And the military has been handicapping their own translation capacity for a decade now.

The SNAFU conspiracy.

Check out some of the more mainstream forums, LOTS of military WIVES on the internet and I see many, many of them saying things right now like "OMG there are several muslim/arabs in my husbands/son's unit now I am scared for their safety!"

Fucking ignorance like that really makes me sick.

The national dialogue also changes from:

Fucking Obama is deploying more troops next week.

to

These heros are about to be deployed and this is the thanks they get?

Thats what I am seeing anyway.

He was a medical officer. Maybe he was really forced to go to the range once a year for qualification. But, if he was, I bet dollars to doughnuts he was either allowed to score himself or received some help from a range NCO who just happened to have a 9mm pencil.

Pistols are easy to miss with even at ranges of less than 5 meters, particularly if the shooter is shaky with adreneline. I'd want to hear some ranges and shooting conditions before I made any comments about how easy the shots would be for an essentially non-shooter.
