Can you see why people here don't think you're operating in good faith?
My four paragraphs explain why "people here" don't think I'm acting in good faith. I will not answer questions that are not questions, but rather rhetorical insults. I know you're intelligent enough to see that. What I have said in those four paragraphs is my honest assessment...for now. It's not a question. I'm not asking you, or anyone else a loaded question designed to ensnare, entrap and belittle. As I've said, there are a few who know of what I speak/type, and I know they appreciate it. If you don't, what can I say? Remove your allegiance and look inside yourself. I have......removed any and all allegiances and looked inside myself, so I'm not asking you to do anything I haven't done, and I am doing, myself.
And I'll tell you what, WR. I'm not an idiot. I know why justdrew posted that link in the Idle No More thread. I've been reviewing it and mulling it over since he deposited it, and it's a great topic for discussion....but not in that thread, because it's not appropriate for that thread....at least not the entirety of the discussion as it would relate to that subversion manual, although parts of the discussion would certainly apply to the Idle No More thread. If I was engaged in subversion, I'd be fired by now, don't you think? Effective subversion works clandestinely. It's not a hammer. I'm a hammer and a bell, therefore, I'm not a subversive. And, I love Peter, Paul & Mary.

Carol Newquist » Fri Oct 18, 2013 7:46 am wrote:Hugh was at the quintessential heart and spirit of what RI once was, if it was ever anything beyond an arrangement of bits and bytes. He worked within a framework very much in the same way Walt did in Breaking Bad. He was consistent, and yes, certainly unwavering, but so what? Once you knew that about Hugh, don't try to draw blood from a stone, so to speak. I didn't have to be Hugh's friend to catch his drift, and as Twyla indicated, you could scan his material for the juicy, delicious seeds.....kind of like eating a pomegranate.....to some it's not worth the effort, but to others it's not an effort and the fruit seed is sublime.
For any one with an open mind, and there still are a few here.....the nucleus that's still barely holding, if you follow the saga of Hugh's banning closely, in its leaves you will find the saga of what's happened, and what is happening, to RI. Hugh was driven from these lands by specific personalities. These same personalities have created a de facto ghetto and appointed themselves unelected ghetto bosses. Their purpose is to contain and deprive this space of fresh, replenishing winds that can sweep the concentrating and stifling pollution from our midst. I have watched this very closely over the years, and, imo, Hugh was not a menace. It was the people who menaced him that were, and still are, the menace. Every thread where Hugh deposited his invaluable material, whether you agreed with it or not, was turned into a flame war by those who harassed and hectored him. It was their fault, not Hugh's. Why did they just not put him on their foe list if they couldn't stand him and his framework? That is the question. Why didn't they just ignore him? I'll tell you why. For the very reasons I have stated above.
The sad part about Hugh's banning is that it's a self-inflicted wound on everyone who has ever visited this space, is still visiting it and anyone who will visit it in the future. It's symbolic. Humanity (Hugh Manatee) was driven from this board, from this space. The message is that Humanity doesn't win. That's a sad indictment, and that which drove it away will continue to drive it away until it's recognized for what, why and who it is.
Hugh, if you're even lurking, thanks for all your posts over the years, and I'm sorry about what happened to you. I hope that you see my presence here as a vindication of the light you brought to my life. You challenged and altered my perspective and perception, and for that, you earned my respect. For the sleepers here who have remained silent and fearful, there's still a chance to resuscitate the fading spirit of RI, but we must first recognize the mechanism at play and reverse and dissolve the ghettoization of this space. And yes, that will be met with fierce and brutal resistance, obviously, but if it means enough to you, you'll rise up and join the challenge to take back this space and breath life back into the atrophying spirit of RI.
Cool story, bro.
Seriously, thanks for answering my question, albeit from a completely different thread topic.
So what was your prior username at RI while Hugh was posting here? Or did you actually just lurk here anonymously for the past several years?

I miss the fat fucker. He was entertaining and readable.
And I find it amusing that someone is impersonating our beloved manatee on the NPR blog:
What a coincidence! Some of us were analyzing the use of fictional characters for government propaganda before this NPR 'In Character' series started.
66 years ago, during World War II, the official government propaganda organ called the Office of War Information regulated Hollywood's movie scripts in the name of national interest. In the 1950s the CIA formed a secret ministry of culture called the Congress for Cultural Freedom, and TV scripts were reviewed by State Department, Pentagon, and CIA.
You all might consider viewing TV and movies and listening to radio with this historical background in mind. Then you might not consider it a coincidence that Jack Bauer is desensitizing Americans to torture and 'J.A.G.' bored us to tears long before the legislation called the Military Commisions Act of 2006 supported military tribunals.
Oddly, just as the House Select Committee on Assassinations was about to release its final report on the shooting of JFK, America was waiting to find out 'who shot JR' on a TV show called...'Dallas.' Isn't that a wild coincidence?
TV and movies (and radio ahem) are some of the most useful tools of shaping public opinion. Think about it.
It's notable that he used J. switky in 2008 and josh/ua switky in 2012/2013. Is Switky the real McCoy? Sounds like Hugh to me. Is Switky Hugh's real name? Surely he knew there was no way he could sign his real name to the reviews at Amazon, for instance, and wouldn't be linked to and identified as Hugh Manatee Wins?
Note that if you take the first two letters off of “Severus Snape” you get “Verus Ape.”
That’s because the 1995 book, ‘Harry Potter,’ was designed by spooks as a decoy of the old SV40 scandal that was being revived in two books that year – ‘Mary, Ferrie, and the Monkey Virus’ by Leonard T. Haslam about Dr. Mary Sherman’s mysterious death in New Orleans and ‘Emerging Viruses’ by Dr. Leonard Horowitz. Potter and Oxford are the names on many SV40 research papers over the decades and that’s how a blood-centric story about Harry Potter at an elite school was contrived.
There is a cognitive memory dynamic called “inoculation theory” that operates in cultural transmission much the same way that biomedical inoculations work. So propaganda experts use this to displace what the military calls “hostile information” with decoys to redirect word associations to politically safe ones that don’t erode social cohesion to authority. Vaccines are considered to be a national security priority. The military knows how much horrible stuff is sitting on its own bioweapon shelves but can’t tell the public that this is the biggest threat to their safety. So minimizing the public’s distrust of vaccines is a big propaganda priority. And that’s why our world got saturated with ‘Harry Potter.’ Which was also designed as spy recruiting, indoctrination, and training.
Got to catch that “golden snitch.” Also known as an informant. JK Rowling fronted this SV40 cover-up and recruiting for MI6, probably. That’s why she just pretended to be angry about publishing under a pen name with a fake dossier as an “intelligence agent.” Yeah, right.
That exact theory is advanced by Hugh here on RI:

Best subliminal name in 'Harry Potter' - "Severus Snape."
He lives in California by way of New England. Makes sense. He used to be a sound engineer, too, which is dope.
Curiously, in searching from London, I get Some results may have been removed under data protection law in Europe. at the bottom of the search results...
He seems to have even posted at the Prisonplanet forum and baffled people there too.
